Surely there was no way that Frank was here to celebrate Carlo Group taking over Zamri Hospital, was there?
Hence, the private room quickly turned awkwardly silent.
Bang!
Eventually, Carlo slammed his fist on the table, breaking the silence and causing all the tableware to shake.
"What the hell is this, Fredo?!" he bellowed.
Seeing his father's murderous glare, Fredo looked like he could cry. "Dad… L-Let's just go back to the midlands!"
"What?!"
Carlo almost blew a fuse at his son's groveling and pointed at him as he huffed, "You piece of shit! I dare you to say it again!"
"Dad, I just want to survive! Let's just leave already!"
Fredo sobbed so loudly everyone in the room could hear him, even as he dropped to his knees in front of the table despite his father's furious glare. "M-Mr. Lawrence… He's beyond us… H-He…"
However, Fredo was stuttering so badly that he just could not finish his own sentence.
"You piece of shit!"
Carlo snapped again, and looked around before picking up an ashtray, flinging it at his own son!
He was hoping that his son would announce in front of everyone around the table that they had successfully taken over Zamri Hospital.
Instead, the first thing that the brat said when he came in was to beg him to flee and that their enemy was beyond them?!
"Temper, temper, Mr. Barzini."
Frank clicked his tongue, shaking his head. "There's no reason to get so bloodthirsty just because your son failed your bidding. Throwing an ashtray? What if it hits your boy's head and draws blood? Wouldn't it break your heart?"
Carlo remained impassive despite Frank's question. "What's it to you?"
"Oh, come on… What are you saying?"
Frank continued without a care, even pouring himself a glass of wine and chugging it. "I'm showing concern here!"
"I don't need your concern, and you're not welcome here. Get out of this room this instant," Carlo snapped coldly, pointing at the door.
"Now, now." Frank simply crossed his legs while chuckling. "After all, you've made repeated attempts to sabotage Zamri Hospital by now to get to me."
