Stella didn't answer him, instead turning to Noah.
"Noah, I'm trusting you with Abby. Keep her safe."
Then, she gave instructions to Gideon and Wilbur. "You must protect Abby at all costs. Once you're out of the palace, go straight to the airport. I've already arranged for a private jet there. You all leave first. Don't wait for us, so we don't all get trapped in Germany. If I can't get out, I'll need you to call for help."
"Star…" Abby said, her eyes welling with tears.
"Don't worry about me," Stella comforted her softly. "Joshua is still here."
At the mention of Joshua's name, Abby glanced at him again. She knew she would be of no help here, only a burden to Stella.
She bit her lip and said to Wilbur and Gideon, "Let's go."
Noah wanted to object, but seeing Stella's determined expression, he let out a long sigh and led Abby and the others away.
The incident had happened so suddenly that the Wright family was completely unprepared. With Eason in critical condition and rushed into surgery, and Queen Wright having fainted from the shock, the entire palace was in chaos.
Although King Wright ordered the palace to be sealed and all strangers investigated, he was waiting outside the operating room for news on Eason and was in no position to manage the situation.
With Abby and Stella splitting up, their individual groups were smaller and less conspicuous.
Abby successfully escaped the palace and made it to the airport.
As the plane took off, Abby still felt as if she were in a dream.
She had gradually calmed down. Although she had been frightened by Joshua's swift and decisive killing of Eason, upon reflection, she had to admit that he had been right. As long as Eason was alive, he would have colluded with Aurora, bringing endless trouble for Stella. He thought he could control Aurora, but he might have ended up being played by her instead, becoming another one of her weapons.
Joshua's methods were ruthless, but they offered a permanent solution.
