But now, the project had run into trouble.
The more Stella read, the graver her expression became.
A short while later, Joshua arrived.
Joshua asked abruptly, "Star, do you and Sellers have some kind of mortal feud?"
Hearing Sellers's name, Stella had a sinking feeling she knew what this was about.
She shook her head. "We have our issues, but it's not a fight to the death."
While there was friction between Stella and Sellers, they had always maintained a certain level of restraint due to their connection with Mr. Burton. They'd never had a direct confrontation.
Back then, Leonard was the one leading the charge, so Sellers never had to get his hands dirty.
Even when she was kidnapped by Leonard, Sellers's only involvement was having someone record a video. He had actually tried to talk Leonard down, never once fanning the flames.
Then, Sellers disappeared for a while.
Beyond their mutual dislike, there was no deep-seated, irreconcilable hatred between them.
Joshua said, "This time, Sellers has made a huge move against us. He's poured in billions."
Stella understood immediately. Sellers was behind this investment mess.
Billions in liquid capital was no small sum, not even for a top-tier family.
Leonard, with his personality, was definitely the type to throw away billions just to take her down. But Sellers? He would never do that. Unless...
A thoughtful look crossed Stella's face. "I can't imagine why Sellers would hate me this much. Did I unknowingly step on his toes?"
She could understand Sellers disliking her because of Aurora Williams. But this move went beyond mere dislike; it felt like he had a blood feud with her.
Could it be... another hacker had breached their secure network?
Stella immediately asked Harold, the master hacker known as J, to investigate.
Harold was fast. He had an answer for Stella by the next day.
"Ms. Cameron, the Williams Group's security network is clean. No signs of a hack."
Stella's gaze darkened. If it wasn't a hacker... then it had to be a mole.
Just then, Aicken came in to report, his usually calm expression now grim.
"Ms. Cameron, another one of our orders has been intercepted."
Before Stella could respond, her phone rang. It was Lauretta Chapman, her voice heavy. "Star, have you seen the news?"
