"Fine! You better not regret it when the police are here to take you away!" Iris took out her phone and dialed the police.
A surge of satisfaction welled up inside her. There was no way she'd let this slide after getting battered so badly. She was determined to make Kylie pay the price.
"I will not regret it." Kylie shot her a glance before turning to Leonardo with a faint smile. "But I need to trouble you with something, Mr. Hickman."
Leonardo frowned. He didn't like the mischief in her eyes.
"What is it?"
She placed a library card on his desk. "Please return this to Mr. Bradford."
"Mr. Bradford?" He hesitated before picking up the card and flipping it over. The moment he saw the name, he froze.
Jeremiah Bradford, head of the medical department. Leonardo wondered why she had his library card. He immediately dialed Jeremiah's number.
Not long after, Jeremiah arrived, looking panicked as he approached Kylie. "Ms. Clark, are you alright?"
As Iris watched the scene unfold, her suspicions grew stronger.
"Mr. Bradford, do you know her?" Leonardo looked tense. "She hit one of our students, who happens to be from your department. Since you're here, I'll leave this matter in your hands."
"She hit someone?" Jeremiah looked utterly shocked. "There must be some misunderstanding."
"There's no misunderstanding, Mr. Bradford," the woman beside Iris said angrily. "Look at what she did to Iris' face!"
Jeremiah turned to look at Iris' swollen face and was stunned for a few seconds before turning back to Kylie. He still found it hard to believe. "Did you really hit her?"
"I did!" Iris answered immediately. Meanwhile, Kylie remained as indifferent as ever, casually stepping into the police car without hesitation. Jeremiah followed suit.
Iris refused to cram into that old police vehicle. Instead, she drove her car and followed them straight to the police station.
As soon as they arrived, Iris walked up to Kylie and lowered her voice so only the two of them could hear. "With your background, it's already impressive that you managed to cling to Mr. Bradford. And yet, you still dream of marrying Samuel. Just wait. I'll make sure he sees your true colors today!"
The more Kylie listened, the more amused she became. She entered the police station with a leisurely stride and took a seat across from the police officer.
"Did you hit her?" the police inquired.
"I did, and it's because she deserved it."
Kylie's dark and sparkling eyes curved into a smile. Her voice was soft and sweet, and her demeanor was gentle, making her look innocent.
