Iris' head jerked from one side to another as a burning pain spread across her cheeks. She never expected Kylie to hit her. For a moment, she was stunned, with her eyes widened in disbelief.

Furious, she growled through clenched teeth, "Kylie, how dare you hit me?"

"You have a filthy mouth and a shitty attitude that deserved to be hit!"

Kylie calmly rubbed her palm. She wasn't some pampered rich girl, so those slaps had been in full force.

The bright red handprints on Iris' face quickly swelled, but she was too furious to care about the pain. She believed Kylie only dared to hit her because she had Jeremiah's support. But compared to Samuel, he was nothing.

Kylie was practically digging her own grave if she wanted to make this a big deal. If this was what she wanted, Iris was glad to help her dig deeper!

Seething with rage, Iris launched at Kylie, determined to win. But she had been pampered her whole life. So, she naturally wasn't a match for Kylie.

The commotion in the library was so loud that it attracted the attention of the staff and teacher. Soon, Kylie, Iris, and several students were called into the office.

A middle-aged male teacher with a receding hairline sat in his chair, peering at the students lined up in front of him. "Tell me. What happened earlier?" His voice was stern.

The woman who had been with Iris immediately spoke up in a fury. "Mr. Hickman, she started it by hitting Iris first!"

Leonardo turned to look at Iris. Her once delicate features were now barely recognizable under the swelling. Her hair was a mess, making her look completely disheveled.

He then turned to look at Kylie and asked, "Did you do this?"

"I did." Kylie met his gaze head-on and admitted it without hesitation. She expressed little regret, as if she believed she had done nothing wrong.

She was only a young woman, yet the coldness in her gaze sent chills down his spine.

Kylie continued, "Tenby University's library has the largest collection in the country. Hence, I came to borrow a few books, but instead, I ran into a pesky fly. And when a fly comes buzzing right at you, of course, you need to swat it!"

Upon seeing her unyielding attitude, Leonardo's anger flared. He slammed his hand on the desk and shouted, "Fine! If that's your attitude, then we'll just call the police."

Iris was excited. She wished to make this matter as public as possible. The Vance family would never accept a troublemaker with a criminal record.

"Kylie, once you're in the police station, it won't just be a matter of apologizing or covering the medical fees. You could end up with a record. Are you sure about that?"

"Go ahead and call them." Kylie remained unfazed and even pulled out a chair to take a seat.
