"No, no!" Ranita didn't mean it that way.
Who could have imagined things would turn out like this?
"You're talking nonsense!" Ranita was annoyed, her eyes reddening as she reached out and hit him.
Water splashed up, hitting Brendon in the face.
His cold eyes softened a bit instead of looking embarrassed. Brendon grabbed her wrist and pulled her over a bit.
"What are you doing?" Ranita blushed at his gaze, her voice trembling slightly.
As soon as she spoke, he wetly pinched her chin with his fingers and kissed her again.
Brendon's kiss went from shallow to deep, long enough to feel like an entire century had passed by.
It was both long and sweet, giving Ranita the illusion of being deeply loved.
Ranita's heart leapt high but then fell heavily back down again; jumping chaotically between anticipation and anger.
"Let's take a bath first. The water will get cold soon; you'll catch a cold." Brendon said while staring at the neckline on her shirt again.
Ranita felt shy and didn't say anything more about it.
Taking a bath should have been an easygoing thing to do but with Brendon around all the time, all of Ranita's thoughts were swept away leaving nothing behind except confusion in her head.
Being wrapped up in towels after getting out made Ranita blush even harder than before.
She hid under the blanket, only showing her two eyes. Seeing Brendon sitting on the edge of the bed grabbing her calf, she lightly kicked him and said, "Stop rubbing. I want to sleep."
Brendon didn't let go, holding onto her ankle and pulling her towards him. "Feeling better?" he asked.
Ranita stared at him in surprise. "You can cook?"
"Don't worry about it. I have a good memory and cooking noodles shouldn't be too hard!" Brendon was confident and Ranita didn't want to discourage him, so she just pursed her lips without saying anything.
Half an hour later.
Brendon came back with a dark expression on his face. "Let's go eat!"
Ranita couldn't help but laugh and asked, "Did it not turn out well?"
Brendon's face grew even darker as he bent down to flick her nose with his finger. "Why do I feel like you're laughing at me?" His voice was low and pleasant.
The sudden intimacy made Ranita blush as she smiled back at him. "It's rare! You finally found something you're not good at!"
Not only was Brendon handsome, but he also grew up in a wealthy family and had many talents. When he first started high school, he even participated in the school talent show wearing a white tuxedo with his slim figure standing tall under the spotlight while playing the cello.
