The Divorcee Who Shines novel Chapter 169

Chapter 169 Disgust

After making arrangements for dinner later that evening, Ranita headed over towards Stuart's Corp.

As soon as she stepped in, the phone rang.

"Hello? This is Ranita." There was silence on the other end before Amiya's haughty voice spoke up, "This is Amiya, I'd like to talk with you."

"My car is parked by the side of road, you'll see it when you come out."

Ranita turned around, and sure enough saw Amiya's exclusive car waiting there. She hesitated before walking over towards it.

"Get in!"

"Mrs. Stuart, if there is anything specific please tell me now. I still have business matters left unattended." Ranita did not get into the car, nor did she intend to either.

Amiya raised an eyebrow, herself displeased with how things were going between them ever since three years ago when she married Brendon. She had never given any good treatment or approval of her as Brendon's wife and had always treated her like an obligatory lesson. Now what else could be bothering Amiya?

"Are you sure you want to say this here? Think carefully, Ranita but..."

"Mrs. Stuart, I don't think we need to make a big deal out of this. If you have something to say, just say it. Otherwise, I'll take my leave," Ranita paused and looked directly at Amiya with a cold tone. "Mrs. Stuart, please face reality. I am no longer the daughter-in-law of the Stuart family and I don't think I need to continue putting up with you."

Put up with?

Amiya's eyes flashed with anger.

"Ranita... What gives you the right to say these things to me? You put up with me? That's ridiculous! Haven't we been putting up with you in the Stuart family all along?" Ranita couldn't stand it anymore and interrupted Amiya saying, "Mrs. Stuart, if I have no right then what gives you the right to nitpick and criticize me?"

"To be honest Mrs. Stuart, it's not just putting up but also disgust that I feel towards you," Ranita straightened her back slightly.

"Miss Bowman, you seem happy today. Is there anything good happening?" Julia approached Ranita smilingly yet cunningly.

Ranita nodded lightly before changing topic, "Is there anything wrong, Julia?"

"Not really. Just now Mr. Stuart returned from his meeting looking unhappy. Would you mind taking these documents in for him when he comes back later?" Julia pleaded while looking at Ranita with puppy dog eyes.

Taking over, the calm-looking woman knocked on Brendon's office door before entering. The man was unbuttoning his shirt revealing his Adam's apple which looked rather sexy...

"Mr. Stuart , this is information sent over by Nemotube. I've sorted them out already, and sent them via email both Caleb and yourself." Pausing briefly, Ranita put down the files given by Julia onto Brendon's desk. "These are what Julia asked me bring in."

Brendon had just finished a meeting when he received news that there was a problem with the project in Qaesburg. The person in charge, his cousin Allen Stuart, was now lying in the hospital and unable to do anything.
