Boulderland Mansion belonged to the Stuart family so there was really no reason for Ranita to stay there given her current status.
Ranita took a deep breath and nodded, "Okay! But first I want to change my clothes."
She was wearing Brendon's bathrobe! It was loose and sloppy, how can she go out like this and face people!
But unexpectedly, Amiya refused directly, "Ranita, all of your clothes were purchased using Brendon's money during your three years here so you don't have any right take them away!"
"I'll give you one robe as a favor."
Ranita gritted through clenched teeth knowing that arguing about this with Amiya would get nowhere. So, she said nothing more about it.
Ranita didn't have much luggage anyway – just one big suitcase when arriving three years ago which was what they used when leaving too - everything felt like an illusion from another world where only vague memories remained behind...
May nights were cooler than days; wearing only a bathrobe made Ranita shiver violently when wind blew against bare skin...
In the middle of night near Boulderland Mansion, there weren't any taxis available nearby nor did buses run frequently enough around here either - closest bus stop being two kilometers away...
Standing on roadside alone, Ranita suddenly felt pitiful wondering why did everything had happened between herself and Brendon? If not for their stubbornness, then maybe they could've been happier living free lives separately...
But there is no regret medicine in this world, and love never makes sense. If given another chance, she thought she would make the same choice.
"Ah!" Ranita sighed and pulled out her low-battery phone. She scrolled through her contacts list, up and down, before finally settling on Dylan Webster.
Dylan arrived quickly and was startled by her appearance, "What happened to you? Get in the car!" Dylan pushed her into the back seat while grabbing her luggage.
At this thought, Shannon can't help but wish to tear Ranita into pieces directly!
"Auntie!" Shannon's eyes turned red, "I am really angry! Ranita clearly divorced Brendon, but still..."
"Oh my, look at you! I already taught her a lesson for you! Don't be angry anymore!" Amiya couldn't bear to see Shannon's red eyes and comforted her in a soft voice, "I just heard from the servant that Brendon got drunk, so it must be Ranita's fault!"
Amiya patted Shannon's hand and lowered her voice, giving her a meaningful look. "Brendon is drunk, Shannon. You know what I mean."
Shannon suddenly looked up, and her red and aggrieved eyes immediately added a hint of coquettish smile.
In no time, Shannon pushed open the master bedroom door with light steps.
