The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge novel Chapter 1478

“Yes, Your Honor.”

Steven did not lose his composure. He recollected himself and looked toward Bella and Justin’s direction with an ambiguous gaze.

The couple had serious expressions, nodding to him slightly.

Steven pursed his lips, staring at Shannon with a sharp gaze. “Ms. Shannon, you insisted that you’ve never killed anyone. Let me ask you again. Is everything you said true? This is your last chance to confess.”

Hunter laughed when he heard it, scrutinizing Steven disdainfully.

Steven was like a monkey challenging him, asking such a foolish question in court. Only an idiot would admit to killing someone.

“No… I don’t even dare to kill a chicken. How could I possibly murder someone?!”

Shannon’s mind spun quickly, thinking about how she only ordered others to do her dirty work throughout the years. With her noble status, how could she possibly soil her own hands? So, she replied firmly, “No matter how many times you ask, my answer is the same. Never!”

“Okay.”

Steven no longer looked at her, turning to face the judge seriously. “Your Honor, I’d like to summon a new witness to the stand concerning this case.”

As his voice fell, the crowd erupted in whispers.

Shannon’s heart tightened, and she quickly looked at Hunter with an anxious and panicked gaze.

It must be a ruse. This woman must be an actress hired by Steven!

Shannon suddenly thought of something. Her ferocious and bloodshot eyes turned toward Justin.

Coincidentally, Justin’s bottomless gaze was watching her, as cold and sharp as daggers, seemingly able to slice her throat at any moment.

Immediately, everything clicked in Shannon’s mind.

It turned out that Justin had secretly taken control of the maid and forced her to side with him. He discreetly eliminated everyone Shannon had sent to spy on the maid.

Such decisiveness and cunning malice were indeed what Justin was capable of.
