The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 987

Hailey's eyes suddenly welled up with tears. She had known Jonah for years, and she had always wanted to marry him.

And now… he had just proposed.

She opened her mouth to respond, but before she could say a word, a voice interrupted her. "Jonah? What are you doing here?"

It was Justin.

All of a sudden, Hailey recalled that Justin, Joanne, and Ewan still hadn't been dealt with. Before she and Jonah got married, it was time to end this once and for all.

Jonah deserved to know the truth about what happened back then.

Hailey looked at Jonah and said, "Mr. Pilsner, I need some time to think."

"Alright. I'll wait for you. There's my child in your belly, and I know you're not going anywhere. I can wait!" Jonah said gently, smiling.

He said he could wait. Somehow, those words touched her more deeply than any sweet confession ever could.

If it hadn't been for his persistence for the past three years, they would've already been torn apart by all those schemes and lies.

He had never once let go of her hand.

Just then, Justin walked over, asking, "Jonah, what are you doing here?"

Hailey quickly grabbed Jonah's muscular arm and said with a deliberate tone, "Mr. Pilsner brought me here to pick out some gemstones!"

Justin had never liked Hailey to begin with, and now, hearing her say that so casually made his face immediately scrunch up.

"Jonah, why are you still hanging around her?" he asked.

Jonah frowned. His sharp gaze carried both warning and a trace of cold displeasure.

"Justin, from now on, show Hailey the respect she deserves. If you can't even do that, then we can't even be friends."

"Jonah!" Justin called out.

Just then, Jonah's phone rang. He took his phone out and turned to Hailey.

"I need to take this call," he said.
