The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 986

Jonah had brought Hailey into a high-end jewelry boutique.

"You said yesterday that I've never bought you any diamonds or jewelry. Well, today, pick whatever you want. It's on me," he said.

Hailey arched an eyebrow as she asked, "Since you're feeling generous today, I won't be holding back then."

Jonah replied, "Just buy whatever you want."

The sales assistant greeted them with a bright smile. "Good afternoon, sir, miss. How may I help you?"

Hailey pointed toward one of the bracelets and said, "Can I try that bracelet on?"

"Of course, miss. Let me take it out for you."

As she looked at Jonah, Hailey said quietly, "Mr. Pilsner, that green bracelet looks like a top-grade emerald. I bet it's worth millions. Are you really okay with me buying that?"

As he glanced at her playful expressions, the corners of his eyes softened with a smile. "As long as you love it, I'd gladly spend my entire fortune on you."

Hailey smiled.

The sales assistant took the bracelet out of the case.

The emerald green sparkled against Hailey's slender wrist, making her hand look even more delicate and elegant.

"I'll take this one!" Hailey said.

Jonah took out his credit card and said, "I'll pay by card."

Hailey grinned as she said, "Men who spend money on women really are the coolest."

"Then, Ms. Hailey, give me more chances to be cool—let's keep shopping."

As Hailey turned to glance out the glass display, something sparkled and caught her eye. It was a diamond ring.

Suddenly, Jonah said, "Bring me the biggest diamond ring you've got in the store."

"Yes, sir," the sales assistant responded.

Hailey's heart skipped a beat. "Mr. Pilsner, you're buying a diamond ring?"

Jonah replied, "Yes."

Why was he buying a ring, and who was it for?
