The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 763

Adam had just told Carly to go ahead on her own.

Carly was momentarily caught off guard. She had hoped Adam would pick her up—it would have made their date feel more special and romantic.

"Adam, can't you come pick me up? I—"

"Carly, I've already secured the reservation at Freeman Restaurant. I have an important meeting to attend, so it's best if you head over first. Be good," Adam cut her off.

The way he emphasized the last two words was commanding, leaving no room for protest.

Carly, who was captivated by strong personalities, felt a thrill run through her. She quickly agreed, "Alright, Adam. I'll head over first, but make sure you get here soon!"

"Of course."

Carly left and instructed the driver to take her to the restaurant.

When she arrived, the waiter greeted her with a warm smile. "Welcome, Ms. Carly. Your table is ready. Please follow me to the VIP section."

With that, the waiter led her to a VIP table by the window. The stunning view outside immediately caught her attention, leaving her feeling pleased.

"Ms. Hampton, what would you like to drink?"

"Just a coffee for now. I'll wait for Mr. Alvarez before ordering anything else."

"Of course. I hope you and Mr. Alvarez enjoy your time here," the waiter replied with a polite smile.

Carly smiled back, feeling content. Soon, her coffee arrived, and she gracefully took her first sip.

Just then, a familiar voice echoed through the air. "Carly, is that you?"

It was Hailey. She had also arrived at Freeman Restaurant and spotted Carly.

Carly looked up and met Hailey's gaze. With a mischievous smile, she said, "Well, well, if it isn't Ms. Hailey. What a coincidence! We always seem to run into each other wherever we go!"

"You're lying, Carly. There's no way Adam would invite you to dinner. You're just trying to mess with me, but I'm not buying it!"

When she saw Hailey's expression, Carly couldn't help but feel even more smug. "Hailey, I wasn't lying. If you don't believe me, then sit across from us and watch how Adam will prove you wrong when he shows up!"

Deep down, Hailey refused to believe that Adam could be the kind of man who would act so fickle. Without hesitation, she accepted the challenge. "Alright, Carly. Let's see who ends up proven wrong today."

Hailey then took a seat at the table across from Carly, her gaze fixed firmly on her.

Carly couldn't hide the grin spreading across her face, eager for the moment when Hailey would be completely disproven.

Hailey quickly pulled out her phone and sent a message to Celine. "Celine, are you there?"

At that moment, Celine had just finished a surgery at the hospital and was on her way back to Hailey's house to grab her bag.

Her phone buzzed, and she noticed a WhatsApp message from Hailey.
