"Alright, that'll be one hundred and thirty dollars."
Gordon gave a slight nod. "Put it on the same tab as my boss."
His boss?
The owner of the food stall, a middle-aged woman, glanced at Gordon in surprise when she heard the title.
She hadn't expected someone who looked so cool and unapproachable to be so openly affectionate with his girlfriend.
Soon enough, Caitlin Kensington had made her selections.
Seeing Caitlin's face, the owner sighed inwardly. What a beautiful young woman.
The two of them were a match made in heaven.
The owner suppressed her awe and asked, "What can I get for you, miss?"
"I'll have the beef skewers," Caitlin said, turning to Gordon. "How about we share? Get a bit of everything."
Gordon smiled. "Of course."
Caitlin wanted a little bit of everything, and she was genuinely hungry. Their combined order came to two hundred and seventy-five dollars, with her food costing even more than Gordon's.
Gordon paid without hesitation.
They found a place to sit.
Gordon leaned in. "Boss, there's a smoothie shop nearby you love. I'll go grab us some drinks."
"Sure, go ahead," Caitlin agreed with a nod.
About ten minutes later, Gordon returned with two large smoothies.
Their food hadn't arrived yet.
Gordon handed one to Caitlin. "For you, boss."
"Thank you, Mr. Sylvester."
