The Deadly Assassin Robin (Tristan Storm) novel Chapter 1343

"Mr. Ramsey!"

A soft mist curled around them, and through the fog, a graceful woman could be seen bowing.

Daphne?

Robin pushed aside a looming white dragon and moved closer to her. "What are you doing here?"

"Mr. Ramsey, after Rita left, I stayed here, waiting, never leaving.

"I knew you'd return."

Robin examined Daphne's outfit—she clearly prepared for a long journey ahead.

"You've known I'd come to Peachgrove all along?"

Without hesitation, Daphne knelt before him. "Mr. Ramsey, while I was in Nordmare, I overheard my grandfather and mentor discussing ancient relics and fragments of information about Dragon Ridge Valley.

"I figured the Netheris Domain you're heading toward could be connected to Peachgrove in Dragon Ridge Valley."

Her eyes met Robin's, a somber expression crossing her face.

"They said that 20 years ago, on the night the Dragon Manor family was destroyed, Young Lord Dragon disappeared after a fierce battle in Dragon Ridge Valley against multiple super martial artists from the World of Darkness. After that night, he was never heard from again.

"They believe Young Lord Dragon likely entered the Netheris Domain.

"Just days ago, I learned that Ms. Dunn's soul was drawn away by Caym, and I am certain, Mr. Ramsey, you'll enter the Netheris Domain, eliminate all of the Dark Syndicate's followers, and clear the region!

"I want to accompany you, Mr. Ramsey, into the Netheris Domain to retrieve Ms. Dunn's soul."

Robin paused for a moment before responding, "Get up.

"The dangers in the Netheris Domain are unknown. We might not even make it back. Why risk yourself?

"Stay here on Earth. Live peacefully."

But Daphne stayed kneeling, unwilling to rise.

"Mr. Ramsey, I am tired of this ugly, miserable world of Earth. Rita's gone. If you leave too, there will be no reason for me to live.

"I beg you, Mr. Ramsey, take me with you into the Netheris Domain. Even if it means enduring fire and blood, even if there's no return, I won't regret it.

"As long as I'm by your side, no matter the dangers, I don't care.

"Please, Mr. Ramsey, don't abandon me!"

The white dragon glanced at Daphne and then at Robin, gently nudging Robin with its large head a few times.

Robin understood—it was requesting mercy for Daphne. Perhaps having her along on the journey into the Netheris Domain wouldn't be such a bad thing.

"Alright." Robin's gaze softened as he looked at Daphne.

Though Daphne was from a renowned Sakuranian family, the Rivers family had always treated her as nothing more than a tool.

For 20 years, she had lived in isolation, with no one to rely on.

Now, with Rita's death, Daphne had lost her last connection to stability.

Her claim of being tired of the world wasn't just words.

"Get up. I'll take you with me to Netheris."

At that moment, the Larvikite Dragon on Robin's shoulder jumped with surprising enthusiasm, leaping into Daphne's collar and curling up in her arms.

Daphne screamed in surprise.

My God, this little rascal is shameless!

Robin stood frozen, staring at the scene.

"Come back!" he ordered.

Reluctantly, the Larvikite Dragon crawled out of Daphne's collar, clearly irritated, its tail swishing as it returned to Robin's shoulder.

"If you disrespect Ms. West again, I'll roast you and eat you!"

The Larvikite Dragon immediately closed its eyes, laying still on Robin's shoulder, visibly shaken.

Daphne, flustered and blushing from the earlier incident, could hardly believe the little creature had just crawled into ...

Robin glanced at her.

The recent events of Rita's death had clearly taken a toll on Daphne—she looked more exhausted than ever.

"Eat this." Robin handed her a pouch filled with the Bloodshade Fruits.
