Chapter 429 

Aurelia smiled helplessly, “People in the high society sure do love to gossip. Elvis and I are just friends.” 

Avery shot her a teasing grin, “Arnold was so worried about losing you, he couldn’t even concentrate on his shoot overseas. He repeatedly told me to take good care of you once I’m back in Elysium” 

Aurelia popped a cherry into her mouth, savored it, and then spat out the pit. “I have no plans to marry again. I quite enjoy my freedom.” 

If she ever ended up with Elvis, Melissa would lose her mind. She’d probably storm Astral Enterprises every day to pick a fight with her. 

For Avery, Arnold was still the ideal brother–in–law. 

“Sis, Arnold is the one who truly loves you. He promised me that he’ll divorce Lisa as soon as possible. Just wait for him a little longer.” 

On hearing it, a melancholic smile gradually surfaced on Aurelia’s face. “I’ll let fate decide. If he’s my true love, even through trials, we’ll eventually end up together. If not, there’s no point in forcing it. We are destined to be separated.” 

Avery sighed softly. Surely, neither Arnold nor Leopold was her sister’s true love. Could it be Elvis? Was Cupid being too cruel? Wasn’t this simply tormenting her sister? 

Aurelia thought the same. After Arnold left her, she told herself never to give a man the chance to abandon her again. 

Unexpectedly, she was abandoned once more. The pain Leopold inflicted was far greater than Arnold’s. 

With Arnold, she was just disappointed. But Leopold threw her into an abyss, tearing her heart apart, crushing all her feelings and hopes. This pain was almost impossible to heal. Perhaps, having relationship with the Stirling brothers were her fate. Only by overcoming trials of fate, could she eventually meet her chosen one and live a stable life. 

Avery held her hand, thankful that her sister was strong. Other women might not be able to endure such blows and might collapse completely. 

“There are plenty of fish in the sea. There are plenty of men who like you. Choose wisely this time.” 

Aurelia let out a self–deprecating laugh. “Of course, I can’t keep falling for the same trick. If that happens, I might as well become a nun.” 

“Don’t be ridiculous,” Jolin walked out from the kitchen. “Your love life might be a bit of a

Aurelia managed a smile. “I am wealthy and I have adorable children. I don’t need a man. Not getting married is actually less of a headache and more peaceful. 

Avery wrapped an arm around her shoulder. “Sis, with your radiant beauty and stunning physique, you’re destined to turn quite a few heads. Even if you don’t want to get married, you cant stop men from wanting to pursue you, to marry you.” 

Arnold will eventually get a divorce. If by then, her sister isn’t taken by someone else, he still has a chance. 

This weekend, the Muse Club was hosting an art gathering, and Elvis had invited Aurelia. 

Actually, even if he hadn’t, Aurelia would go there. After all, she was a member of the club. She had already made plans with Jelena. 

Melissa and Beverley were also attending. 

Beverley was full of regret. If she hadn’t foretold Aurelia’s ‘destiny‘, she wouldn’t have given up on her marriage out of despair. Whether she was with Arnold or Leopold, she was a member of the Stirling family, her sister–in–law. If she married Elvis, she could no longer be that. 

When Aurelia and Elvis entered together, all eyes subtly turned towards them. 

Jelena purposely lagged behind. She knew Aurelia wasn’t ready to date Elvis yet, so she didn’t mind being a third wheel, helping her cousin fend off unwanted attention. After all, one should tread carefully when considering a second marriage. Between Arnold and Elvis, she had to choose wisely. This time, there was no room for error.
