Aurelia answered without a second thought, “The female lead should find a way to save herself. She can’t just wait for the male lead to sacrifice himself for her, can she? Women should be self–reliant, not waiting around for their demise. Plus, you can’t count on men. can you? What if the female lead falls for the antagonist and leaves her behind? She’d be doomed.” 

“Huh?” Yuna wore a look of surprise, somewhat admiring Aurelia’s unique train of thought. 

Aurelia quickly realized she was getting too caught up in her analogy and offered an awkward chuckle. “I’m just making an example. In the book, the male lead must stay true and committed, but in real life, men like these are not scarce.” 

Leopold was one of them.

Aurelia popped open a bottle of apple juice and took a sip., “Your arrangement could work, but if it were me, I couldn’t bear to see the female lead living on borrowed time, watching her man marry another woman and have sex with her. By the time she’s recovered, the antagonist might be carrying his child. It’s unwise for a woman to put her life in a man’s hands. A woman shouldn’t rely too heavily on a man. The person you can trust and rely on the most is yourself.” 

“Okay.” Yuna scratched her head. “I’ll give it some thought.” 

Aurelia flashed an easy smile. “My advice is FYI. The key is to cater to the readers‘ preferences.” 

She didn’t know that her words had reached Leopold’s ears in real time. 

Her reaction was his worst fear.

Aurelia kissed him on the cheek. “What classes did you have today?” 

“Math, physics, and design,” William replied in his childish voice. 

He was on a half online, half offline schooling schedule. 

Dr. Alan was William’s homeschooling tutor in Goldstone, specializing in the education of gifted children. After William returned to Elysium, they continued their classes online. 

Aurelia changed into a fresh set of clothes, came down from upstairs, and settled on the couch with some cherries. 

Avery came over and sat next to her. He was back in the morning, having just finished filming his new series.
