The Blue-eyed Wolf In The Woods novel Chapter 84

"Pleeeaaassse Krystal!!! Spare me!! I'll run away and never kill again!!" He screamed in agony, his oxygen being cut out by Travis' hand curled around his neck.

Since I was in my newly created wolf form, I answered him by snarling back at him, urging Travis to continue.

"You always were a feisty one, I knew you were strong..." Dom said with a sad smile. Travis bent closer to him letting out with a primal scream, piercing the silent night; his claws extended and ripped through his chest, tearing his heart from his abdomen.

Dom's deformed body slumped to the ground, his eyes wide open, staring blankly ahead at nothing. Because there was nothing left for him to see.

Dom was dead.

I let out a breath I didn't realize ideas holding. The pain in my side was still throbbing, but I kept my eyes trained on Travis. A different black colored wolf, who I hadn't noticed before, trotted over to where Travis was still standing naked, hidden behind Dom's dead body, carrying a lump of cloth in his mouth. Travis grabbed it and quickly shoved his legs into a pair of basketball shorts and threw a black tee shirt over his head, that brought out his dark hair, making him seem more mysterious.

Even when he was a man and I was a wolf, he was still breathtaking. He exuded enormous energy, strength and power no matter what form he was in.

Travis walked over to me once he was fully clothed.

He bent down and wrapped his arms around my neck, sending trails of fire through my veins. "Concentrate on turning back to your human form. Think about your skin, the way it feels to walk, to run. Think about the feeling of stretching out your muscles, think about how it feels to have the sun warm your body, or a breeze blow through your hair. Think about me, how it feels when I touch you... kiss you." With that, he kissed my muzzle and held me tight as the feeling from his touch sent shivers through my body.

I concentrated on all the things he told me, trying to feel what it felt like to be human again.

Like a firecracker erupting I heard my bones start to break and rearrange. I let out a growl of pain, as the feeling of warm fur left my body, replaced by my pearlescent skin.

I suddenly heard a loud growl from behind me. "I can't take it from here Dad, thanks." Travis uttered through clenched teeth. He gave his dad a steely hard glare that would make any normal person in their right mind cower back in fear.

Ethan just chuckled. "Relax son, I have a mate. Remember, your mother?" I studied Travis' father for a moment, and realized why Traivs would be jealous. Ethan resembled Travis almost to a tee, only about 20 years older. He had shorter and more kempt black hair, and beard, framed by the same long nose and chiseled cheek bones. His body was well built, and probably stood around the same height as Travis, maybe an inch shorter. He looked just as threatening as Travis, the only difference was age and the different hues of their azure colored eyes. Ethan's eyes were kind and warm, with crinkles around the corner from years if laughter and smiles, and light blue like a bright cloudless summer sky.

Travis still didn't seem too keen in the idea, or happy that his father was laughing at him or that he offered to help me, so with an almost audible eye roll he grabbed me around the waist, taking care that the blanket didn't fall from my unclothed body. He pulled me into his side, wrapping me in his pine scented warmth.

"Well, she's my mate. And I'll take her. You take some wolves and dispose of the body, and clean up around here. I don't want to deal with any law enforcement. The rest of you go back to the party make sure all the humans get home safely. I'm taking Krystal to the doctor." Travis finished and then picked me up bridal style and started walking away.

"Travis, put me down. I can walk, you know." I grunted and huffed trying to get out of his arms, but he wouldn't let up. "Please. I can walk. I promise I'm okay."
