The Blue-eyed Wolf In The Woods novel Chapter 20

I sighed and slumped my head down.

I just wanted to go home and see him.

Belle dropped me off at my door and hugged me goodbye.

"Have a good night Krys. I love you. And I'm glad your wolf saved you tonight. Dom's a prïck he deserved whatever your wolf gave to him." She smiled and I got out of the car.

I went inside and went upstairs to get ready for bed.

I ripped off the skin tight pants and the rest of my ensemble and put on my long sleeved pink flannel night gown that hung just below my knees and a pair of white thermals. I wasnt trying to dress for success here, so I looked pretty lame.

Putting my winter coat on I walked up to my attic, anxious to see him after what happened tonight.

Opening the door to the outside ledge I walked out and just sat on the ground crossed legged, close to the edge of the balcony.

I gazed up at the stars marveling at their otherworldly beauty.

I heard movement in the forest below, which was strange because he never normally made a noise, but rather moved silently and undetected by the world around him.

He came running from out of the tree line to the edge of the woods and my backyard.

Running like his life depended on it. Running so fast, as if the start our night of watching eachother was the most important thing in the world.

It had been 4 days since I let her see me last.

I needed time and space to sort my emotions through.

Sometimes I like being a wolf, I can run faster, I'm stronger, but sometimes I hate it, and crave to turn back to my human self to feel and touch with flesh, and see with human eyes and feelings.

When I'm a wolf I can still feel emotions like I can human, but they are stronger, scarier, more possessed by animal instincts. And there are really only 4 primal emotions that run through my wolf veins.

3 come come and go, 1 is constant.

Hunger. Anger. Content. Her.

She is love.

She is the basis for either my anger or contentment.

She is everything.

I felt such anger towards my pack when they treated her like a peice of meat the other day.

And I feel contentment when I spend my nights with her.

But my thoughts as a wolf don't run the same way as when I am me. When I turn back into a man I can start sorting through the things that happen to me as a wolf.

Our pack house is about a block from hers. Down one of those small private roads that only some little old lady with dementia lives on. This makes it easy on us.

No one notices the large group of werewolves that reside inside.

Let the wolf take over and take back control of myself.

I wanted to see her tonight.

I needed to see her.

I had just finished eating dinner on Friday night when I decided I would shed my clothes and walk outside to change into my wolf.

It was almost dusk and well below freezing.

The winter in New York was notorious for being brutally cold.

My skin was itching to see her.

I was so anxious after 4 days of not getting to look into her beautiful sea green eyes.

I couldn't turn fast enough.

I striped into my birthday suit and left my clothes lying in a heap on my bedroom floor.

I walked through the house and into the kitchen where the back door was.

I locked up the house and got ready to leave.

I stepped out into my backyard and took my last few moments as a man to memorize the icy white wonderland that overtook the surrounding landscape.
