Alright, she admitted she actually wanted to come too.
Who could blame her when her man had such gorgeous looks and such an incredible body? Being seduced by his beauty was perfectly normal.
This time, Charlotte took the initiative, standing on her tiptoes and wrapping her arms around Sean’s neck as she pressed her lips to his.
Sean’s eyes darkened as he lifted Charlotte off the ground and pressed her against the wall.
Steam fogged the glass, creating hazy reflections of their intertwined silhouettes.
The sound of running water filled the bathroom, mixed with other soft sounds.
Moonlight poured down like silver silk, and a gentle breeze carried the scent of flowers. Everything about tonight was perfect.

By the time Charlotte woke the next morning, the sun was already high in the sky.
All the guests from last night’s birthday party had gone, and the big villa was quiet again.
The space beside her was empty. Sean had already gotten up.
She pulled back the covers and caught sight of the marks scattered across her skin. Images of the night before flashed through her mind, and her heartbeat quickened.
Just then, Sean came in through the door. “Morning, wifey. You’re up?”
She hummed in response.
He came over, sat on the edge of the bed, and leaned down to kiss her forehead. “Good morning. There are new clothes for you in the dressing room and lingerie by the bed Get dressed and come downstairs for breakfast. This afternoon we’ll go to your place to tell our parents about the wedding.”
Charlotte chuckled softly. “You’re already calling them our parents? That was fast.”
Sean raised an eyebrow, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. “Of course. You should start calling me your husband.”
“That’s so cheesy,” she murmured under her breath.
“You called me that last night. What’s cheesy about it? We’re practically an old married couple now.”
She shot him a playful glare. “Don’t bring up last night. You faked being hurt, pretended to be drunk. I never realized you were so calculating.”
Sean grinned and brushed a quick kiss across her cheek. If I didn’t have a few tricks, how else would I have won you over?”
After she washed up and dressed, Charlotte headed downstairs for breakfast.
When they finished eating, she called Desmond to let him know she would be bringing Sean home that

Desmond’s tone was neutral. “That meteor shower and the drone proposal last night–was that his doing?”
Charlotte pressed her lips together. “Yes. He proposed.
“And you said yes?” Desmond already suspected the answer.
“I did.”
“This guy…” Desmond chuckled. “He really knows how to make a statement. Your stepmother and I have been talking about your wedding lately. If he hadn’t proposed soon, I was going to ask him myself when he planned on marrying you.”
“This afternoon, we’ll come over and set a date,” Charlotte said.
“Alright. I’ll clear my schedule,” Desmond replied.
Sean had just gotten off the phone with his mother, Lilian, who had called to ask about the proposal. When she learned it had been a success, she was overjoyed and immediately suggested coming to the Rileys‘ to discuss the wedding date.
So Charlotte told Desmond, “Sean’s mom will be joining us this afternoon, so both families can sit down together.”
The only elders Sean had left were his grandfather and his mother. His grandfather was overseas on a visit and wouldn’t be back for several days, so Lilian would be representing the family.
Desmond understood. “Alright. I’ll have the staff prepare a nice meal for everyone.”
