Suddenly, a figure stepped into the room. Before Charles could even react, the figure rushed over to him and hugged him tightly.
Charles angrily pushed her away. He then realized that it was Angel.
He grew furious and frowned. "Angel, what the hell are you doing?"
"Charles, I love you. I love you so much. I just want to be with you. Don't you want to be with me too?" Angel looked at Charles expectantly as she moved closer to him.
"Angel Zhou, I've warned you once. If you do this again, I won't be as nice." Charles started to threaten Angel as he was really furious.
However, it seemed as if Angel didn't hear him. When she spoke, it was as if she was talking to herself. "Charles, I love you so much. I want to marry you."
Afterward, Angel began to forcefully take off Charles' clothes.
Charles tried to resist, but quickly realized that Angel was too strong for him right now. He didn't know what to do.
"Angel, stop. Think about this. Are you really going to do this?" Charles couldn't get her to stop, so he just tried to talk to her.
Angel was so blinded by her desire for Charles that she just ignored him. She just wanted to make love to him and be with him.
Charles felt hot all over, and his breathing was short and quick. Suddenly, David pushed the door open and barged in.
David was stunned by this scene. He had been wondering why the lights were off.
He was so surprised that he remained frozen for a good minute.
When Charles saw that someone had come in, he quickly checked to see who it was. Upon seeing David, he anxiously yelled, "Quick! Get her off me!"
David snapped out of his daze and was able to pull Angel off of Charles. Then he promptly punched her in the face, which made her lose consciousness.
"Mr. Lu, are you okay?" David helped Charles up nervously and turned on the light. He saw that Charles' face was a shade of vermilion red.
"Yes. I wasn't careful, and she was able to trap me." Charles nodded.
David immediately understood what Charles meant with much discomfort. He blamed himself because he'd arrived late. If he'd arrived earlier, this never would have happened.
"Hurry, get a doctor. I think I was drugged." When Charles spoke, his voice was urgent.
Just as David was about to leave, he spoke again.
"Put Angel on the bed first." Charles was angry, but he couldn't bear to leave her on the floor.
David mumbled unhappily, "Mr. Lu, why are you so nice to her?"
"She's Franklin's daughter, and she's kind of my savior." Charles' face was cold, and he didn't even look at Angel as he spoke.
After heaving Angel onto the bed, David went to look for the doctor.
When the doctor arrived, he looked at Charles in disbelief.
"I was drugged. I need something to flush it out." Charles anxiously urged the doctor. His face was already flushed by this time.
The doctor quickly looked for something to lower Charles' temperature.
After taking the medicine, Charles was able to recover in less than half an hour.
Before long, Franklin arrived, which broke the tension in the room.
"What's the matter?" Franklin asked. Based on the looks on both Charles and Angel's faces, he had a pretty good guess about what had happened last night. He just decided to ignore it and acted as if he didn't know anything.
Upon seeing Franklin, Angel quickly approached him and hid behind him.
"Franklin, while I appreciate all that you've done for me. I should tell you that I'm not interested in your daughter." Charles decided that he needed to tell Franklin the truth.
"I know that." Franklin felt embarrassed, but still acted as if he had no idea what was going on.
"Last night, Angel drugged me." Charles knew that there was a possibility that Franklin would be embarrassed, but he didn't mind. This was the only way Angel would finally leave him alone.
"Angel, why did you do that?" Franklin looked at Angel furiously. He reprimanded her and then apologized to Charles.
"Mr. Lu, I hope you can forgive my daughter. She's still so young and ignorant. She doesn't know what she's doing..." Franklin was willing to swallow his pride and admit his fault for his daughter.
"It's fine. Just make sure you watch her carefully. I'm tired, and I need to rest." After speaking, Charles closed his eyes and pretended to fall asleep.
Franklin had no choice, but to leave with Angel.
It became quiet in the room all of a sudden. Charles took a deep breath as he thought of his future.
When Angel left the hospital with Franklin, she couldn't help but cry.
All Franklin could do was comfort his daughter. "Dear, don't be so sad. We have a lot of time. Charles is still in Malaysia. You still have a chance as long as he doesn't go home yet. This is our territory, so it'll be easy for us to do something..."
