Then, Wynton waved two fingers, and countless planets flew in from all directions.
The shining stars formed one group, while the non-shining stars formed another.
James watched without reacting.
He remembered playing a game of chess against unorthodox sect powerhouses at the Wuia Holy Temple. Compared to that, this current game was less grand.
“This is a duplicate of the Greater Realms,” Wynton pointed to the chessboard in the void and said, “Let's decide the battle's outcome through a Great War. Each of us will control a side and kill according to chess rules.”
James looked at the chessboard in silence.
“Let’s make things interesting,” Wynton said with a smile. “For the pieces, we can use past forms of living beings as the core.
“One piece can contain up to a million past forms. We can infuse our Daoism into them to fully utilize their cultivation strength. Let’s make them fight for real.”
James's face darkened.
Wynton wanted to use the lives of living beings for a mere bet.
James even recalled the so-called Great Battle of the past. Was it also casually triggered by some powerhouse like Wynton for personal gain?
Was this a game where lives and fates were manipulated for amusement, causing eternal tribulations?
“Bastard, shut up,” James suddenly cursed. “We can bet, but instead, let’s inject the Daoism into the pieces and turn them into the form of living beings. Then let them fight on the chessboard.”
Wynton laughed.
“Your compassion makes you unfit for the Supreme Path. You shouldn’t take living beings so seriously. If you can’t accept it, you can leave it as it is.”
“James, please start!” Wynton shouted.
This was a chess game determining the lives and deaths of living beings. James had to risk everything.
But he couldn’t trust Wynton, the past form of Waitara, so he needed a backup plan.
With a flash, James appeared on the other side of the Xwem Chessboard, sitting opposite Wynton.
“White first, black second,” Wynton said with a smile. “Which will you choose?”
Without hesitation, James chose the shining stars as his pieces.
Seeing this, Wynton smirked, as if he had everything under control.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Almighty Dragon General
"Good things take time" Lol yeah, a hundred and fifty trillion years, apparently....
How was Sheldon Jame's first disciple? Wasn't the Black Eagle King the first? Where has he disappeared to all this time?...
Unbelievable... I thought James was rid of the annoying "honey, darling" Thea by going to the Demonic Realm, but now she's gone there too *puke*...
This Thea is the most narcissistic woman of all, constantly interrupting James's cultivation, getting in the way of his plans and slowing him down. He was well rid of her but the author went bonkers a few hundred chapters into the story and decided to pair her back with James.. Yuck!...
Thea doesn't deserve James, it so sad he loves her...
Thank you so much for all the effort. I love all the stories I've read. I hope to continue reading "The Almighty Dragon General" story. 😊...
