He produced a bottle of Chaos Absinthe and sat on top of the wall. Then, James sipped the liquor while he watched Yehria thrash about in the sea of flames.
“Hemera! Fennec! You need to make a bigger fire! Otherwise, it’ll take forever to get the fish fully cooked!”
Shortly after James said that, the blue flames and Galeat Winds swirling around Yehria turned into an eerie shade of purplish gold.
“James, what do you want from me?” Yehria’s voice was strained and shaky as she endured harsher torture.
James took a gulp of Chaos Absinthe and said with a grin, “It seems roasting a fish can make it smarter and improve its memory!”
“You…” Yehria whimpered, “You just want to find out where the Waitara Path’s soul spirit is, right? I’ll tell you where he is! Just stop this, and I’ll tell you right away!”
James’ brows arched. “I think you should try to resist a bit more.”
“No… No! I’m going to be turned into ashes already! Stop this now! Otherwise, you’ll never know where the Waitara Path’s soul spirit is. You won’t be able to save the Dark Heavenly Path, and you’ll walk right into their trap!”
James clicked his tongue as he listened to Yehria’s loud wailing. He lifted his hand. In an instant, the blazing fire and Galeat Winds around Yehria disappeared.
As for Yehria, her disguise as the Waitara Path’s soul spirit had completely burned away. Her body was blackened with soot. The sight of Yehria shivering uncontrollably with dark smoke rising from her body was both amusing and saddening.
James curled his lips. “I have very little patience. I’m sure you know that all too well.”
Yehria stumbled to her feet and let out a weary sigh.
“You’re a smart man, James. You know how powerful Waitara is. So, you should probably put up a soundproof formation before interrogating me…”
“That won’t be necessary.” James smiled enigmatically. “Even if Waitara himself or the Caeloros Gods had found my formation, they wouldn’t be able to see or hear what was happening in here without my permission. Are you trying to buy time by saying that?”
Gray clouds appeared above James’ formation almost instantaneously. Numerous Hadufen Lightning Bolts came shooting down from the clouds.
“Aargh!”
Yehria writhed and screamed in pain as the lightning bolts struck her rapidly.
“I’ll hand them over! I’ll hand over everything…”
James gave a snort. As he dropped his hand, the lightning bolts disappeared altogether.
Yehria was twitching all over as traces of electricity traveled through her body. She slumped onto the Xwem Chessboard.
“Hurry up, then!” James bellowed.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Almighty Dragon General
"Good things take time" Lol yeah, a hundred and fifty trillion years, apparently....
How was Sheldon Jame's first disciple? Wasn't the Black Eagle King the first? Where has he disappeared to all this time?...
Unbelievable... I thought James was rid of the annoying "honey, darling" Thea by going to the Demonic Realm, but now she's gone there too *puke*...
This Thea is the most narcissistic woman of all, constantly interrupting James's cultivation, getting in the way of his plans and slowing him down. He was well rid of her but the author went bonkers a few hundred chapters into the story and decided to pair her back with James.. Yuck!...
Thea doesn't deserve James, it so sad he loves her...
Thank you so much for all the effort. I love all the stories I've read. I hope to continue reading "The Almighty Dragon General" story. 😊...
