Third Person
Hannah walks through the restaurant like she owns it. She wears an expensive purse on her arm, waving it around as she removes the sunglasses from her face. She walks towards the back of the restaurant, nodding her head at the manager as he allows her to slip beneath the cover of darkness.
The restaurant is known for its undiscoverable dinners. Politicians Alpha, and socialites alike come here to drink and mingle with each other, to share a meal as they complete shady deals with the Law right outside the door, unable to touch them.
Hannah is no different. She sits down in a table in the corner, a twisted smile, curving her lips upward as she looks at the man who sits in front of her.
“Jack,” she greets him with the head nod, “it’s good to finally put a face to the name. I’m glad that we were able to meet for dinner tonight.”
Jack says nothing in response. He is simply stares at the glass of wine in front of him, fingers fiddling with the stem of the glass, swirling the dark red liquid around. Hannah tiarrows her eyes at him, sharpening her gaze as he ignores her greeting.
“Jack,” she repeats his name, her voice is more dangerous than before, “it is polite to respond, you know? Did your mother not teach you the proper manners?”
Emily’s step–mother is as condescending as ever. Laugh leaves her lips, her hand reaching up to try and muffle the sound. She Hooks at Jack through her eyelashes, folding her hands on the white tablecloth in front of her.
He finally turns to look at her. She smiles, her hair being tossed over her shoulder with one swoop. He lets out a sigh, push, pushing the glass of wine away from him.
“It is your turn to hold up your end of our deal,” she speaks with authority, holding their deal over his head. It acts like the blade of a guillotine, threatening him at every turn with nowhere to go.
“What do you need me to do?” Jack quietly response. He is unable to meet her gaze, knowing that what it is that she’s about to ask him will be soul destroying. It will ruin everything that he has built in order to get back into Emily’s life.
“Good boy,” Hannah’s chuckle, sends chills down his spine.
She reaches into her purse and plucks a clear vile from the bag. She set it in the center of the table. It catches the light overhead, the liquid inside a light shade of purple. It looks unsuspecting, but it is a drug strong enough to take out a horse for an entire day.
Hannah leans forward, her elbows, pressing against the edge of the table, and she smiles at Jack. It makes his body run cold. He shudders knowing that he is at this woman’s mercy.
He wonders what Hannah would do to him if he refuses this favor. He wonders what will come of him and his family if he does not follow through on his end of the bargain.
Will it bring their demise? Is this the end of his family and their small pack? How can he look his elderly mother in the eye, knowing that he is bringing harm to the woman who haunts his memories, the one that got away.
“You are going to take the shrug and slip it into Emily’s drink,” Hannah begins, bubbling with excitement from her plan. when she’s all drugged up and out of her mind, you were going to take her to this hotel room and make a video.”
The woman slide a hotel key card across the table. Jack stares at it, unable to comprehend what she means. He looks at her, grabbing the vile and hotel card in one swipe.
“A video?” he asks, raising an eyebrow in response.
“Yes,” Hannah’s expression darkens. She leans forward, invading his space. She grabs his arm and digs her nails into his flesh,
understand me now?” tilting her head to the side ever so slightly. “you’re going to record her while you fuck her. Do you
Jack swallows the lump in his throat. His hands freeze up, unable to push the woman away. After a few tense seconds, Hannah releases him from her grip and leans back in her chair, clapping her hands together.

“It’s simple, really,” she continued to speak, unaware of just how vil this crime is, “you get to make love with the girl of your dreams, and I get the dirt that I need to ruin her lite. It’s a win–win for everyone, Jack, get with it.”
“This is wrong,” he pushes back against her. He place the vial and hotel card on the table top, pushing it back towards her. “this is highly legal. Unethical, too. What did Emily do to you that make you want to hurt her in such a way?”
“That brat has taken everything from me. She does not deserve a single dime that her whore of a mother left for her. It should’ve gone to her father, the successor of their pack. It is because of emily that everyone is suffering,” Hannah spits the words out like venom, tiable to hold back her haired of the younger woman.
