Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1629

“Then why’s his mom called Kittemia?” Milka asked, still confused.

Mars shrugged and turned to Henry. “Hey, buddy, why is your mom a cat?”

Henry pouted, shook his head, and complained, “I dunno. Daddy said ‘where’ was a chubby kitty, so I’m a chubby little cub~”

Milka burst out laughing. “Mars, pull over. I want to ride in the back.”

A moment later, she’d claimed her spot next to Henry in the backseat.

Mars couldn’t help but think—having a godson beat everything.

Henry seemed to have forgotten they’d met before and wasn’t sure what to call her. Milka leaned in. “You can just call me Auntie.”

Mars grinned. “Nah, let’s hear you call her Godmom.”

Always ready to listen to his goddad, Henry did as he was told. After all, a goddad felt way less scary than a stranger. Milka shot Mars a look. “What’s that about?”

Mars just smiled. “Don’t get excited. I just wanted you to hear how cute he sounds, that’s all.”

He parked and took his godson off to the park.

It was still a bit early, so cicadas were hard to find, but Mars managed to catch two and handed them to Henry.

At first, Henry clung to Milka’s leg, nervous. Milka just scooped him up and made like they were hiding. But once Henry saw his goddad playing with the cicadas, he plucked up his courage, got down, tiptoed over, stretched out his little hands, and called out in his clear, bright voice, “Goddad, let me play too!”

Around six, Mia called her husband. “The kid’s not home. Grab him on your way back, okay?”

“Where is he?”

Mia checked with the nanny and relayed, “His goddad took him.”

No need to wonder—Andre called Mars as soon as he left work. “Henry with you?”

“Send me the location. I’ll come pick him up.”

While Andre picked out ice cream, Henry sat happily in Grandpa’s arms.

Looking at Henry’s round cheeks, Grandpa said, “Looks like Mia, but there’s a bit of Cooper in there too.”

Everyone on the Cedillo side always said Henry was Andre’s spitting image, while the Irvin family swore he looked just like Mia.

Genes really are a mystery.

Before they left, Grandpa stuffed Henry’s pockets with even more snacks before letting him go.

Once exams were over, Mia was ready for vacation. Cooper came home for a visit, and Mia asked about his relationship. “Still together?”

“We broke up.”

Then Cooper hoisted Sweetie and headed out the door.
