Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1541

Andre sat calmly, his son tucked safely in his arms. When Miles signaled for his men to take the little boy, Andre just gave a cold, mocking smile. “Nobody’s getting my son from me.”

Henry latched onto his dad’s neck, his round cheeks puffed in defiance. “Hmph! You can’t hold me—only Daddy can!” The bond between father and son couldn’t have been stronger.

Henry squeezed so tight his chubby chin nearly jabbed Andre’s nose. Andre had to nudge Henry’s soft cheek aside just to see straight.

Mia stuck close behind her husband, like a human shield—no one was getting the drop on her man.

Miles knew better than anyone: threaten a child, and everyone falls in line. But even he had to admit there was no way he could pull Andre’s wife or son from his grasp. So, he looked elsewhere.

His eyes landed on Annie.

Annie could hold her own in a fight, sure, but there was no hiding her baby bump. When Miles looked at her, he let out a slow, satisfied smile.

The next moment, a thug slid behind Annie, silent and menacing.

Annie turned around and stared at the stranger—the same guy from her video call. “Where’s my sister?”

“Don’t worry. You’ll see her soon enough,” he said.

Soon after, Maja was dragged in, soaked to the bone and stripped of any hint of her old confidence. They dumped her on the ground like she was nothing.

Maja coughed hard when she hit the floor, her eyes red and raw as she looked at her now visibly pregnant sister.

Regret hit her instantly.

She really did regret it all.

“Annie…” she croaked.

“Sis!” Annie’s tears flowed as she dropped to her knees, scrambling to help Maja up.

Annie shook her head, crying. “Sis, please—just go home and live your life. Emmery spared you, not so you’d get revenge, but so you’d really live.”

Their sobbing was so raw, even Mia found herself tearing up.

Miles watched with a spark of satisfaction. “The Martin sisters—such a strong bond.” He was more convinced than ever that he’d chosen the right target.

He walked over to Annie, brandishing a strip of red-hot metal. “Ms. Maja, it’s your turn. Tell me where the weapons are, and I’ll let your sister go.”

Mia’s face went pale. “You absolute psycho.”

Henry, always quick to learn, piped up, “Absolute psycho!”

Mia hastily covered her son’s mouth. This clever little guy picked up everything—especially the words she wished he wouldn’t.
