Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1536

Chunky was still shell-shocked from the message he’d gotten in the car. Now, slumped on the villa’s couch, he looked like he’d seen a ghost.

“Chunky, what’s going on with you?”

Leo broke the silence. “The person who hacked into the Dark Web before—that was me.”

Every head snapped toward Leo.

Tony squinted at his younger friend, half in disbelief, half like he’d always suspected there was more to Leo.

“Leo, who are you, really?” In this crowd, everyone had skeletons in the closet, but Leo’s secret was on another level.

Leo met his gaze, steady as ever. “Leo. Eldest grandson of Cedillo Inc.”

“No way—you’re from Cedillo Inc.? The eldest grandson?!” That made him the heir, didn’t it?

Leo flipped open his laptop. “This time, I want to go after the Dark Web’s main server—out in the open.” He used to handle things solo, burning away days and nights. Now, he didn’t have that kind of time—so he was calling in backup.

Tony looked at Leo, who was clearly set on this. “Why go after the Dark Web now?”

Leo’s jaw tightened. “My aunt and my little brother—they’ve been kidnapped by the Dark Web. Again.”

Tony frowned.

A few others were already powering up their laptops, ready to join in. “Old Sam, you in?”

Tony shook his head. “I’ll back you guys up—keep the snacks and coffee coming.”

Meanwhile, across the ocean—

Conner and his crew had already boxed in the place, blocking the doors.

Henry was acting like he was on a field trip, squishing his face to the window and calling out in that sweet, milky voice, “Godfather!”

Behind him, lines of men stood shoulder to shoulder, guns ready, backs straight—the kind of discipline you only see in people who’ve been through a lot together. The usual jokes and grins were gone. Now it was all business, everyone waiting on Conner’s word.

From the car, Annie watched him, and for a moment, it felt like that night all over again—when Conner busted into Mr. Nettleton’s place and took back what was his.

Maja, knowing her sister had arrived, leaned back, giving a faint, bitter smile. “Funny, right? I’m actually putting all my hope on Conner now. Did you know my sister’s pregnant?”

Conner wouldn’t budge. The Dark Web wouldn’t let anyone go.

It was a tense standoff. Miles glanced at Maja, sprawled against the seat, and a wicked grin spread across his face.

Inside the car, one of the Dark Web guys shoved a phone in Annie’s face, making her watch something twisted.

On screen, Miles closed in on Maja, holding a piece of metal glowing red from the fire. “Never tried this before—iron and skin. Could make a real work of art, don’t you think? Ms. Annie, whether this masterpiece goes on... well, that’s up to you.”

Mia saw the video too. Now, everything made sense.
