Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1534

Moving fast while her attacker was off balance, she snatched his mask away, exposing his face. “Who are you people?” she demanded.

The man she’d unmasked bared his teeth in a snarl and lunged at Mia, pure aggression in his eyes.

Annie scanned her surroundings as she hurried through the chaos. She refused to just stand there and wait for disaster. That’s when she spotted an elevator at the end of the hall.

Without a second thought, Annie hustled Henry inside, determined to get him somewhere crowded and safe.

But in a mall, nothing moved slower than an elevator.

Henry realized his mother was gone. All he could hear was the sound of fighting echoing from the parking lot. His face flushed with worry, and his tiny fists balled up in helpless anger.

Mia was slammed against a car, pain searing through her side as she hit the metal.

She looked up just in time to see the unmasked man draw back his fist, ready to strike. Rolling off the car, Mia hit the ground just as his punch smashed into the hood, leaving a dent.

Two on one was rough, but Mia could usually handle herself.

But when someone threatened what mattered most, even the strongest fighter had no choice but to freeze.

And there was her weakness—her precious little boy, Henry, now in their grasp.

“Mrs. Cedillo, you really know how to throw a punch,” one of the men sneered, shoving a gun at Annie and Henry as he forced them forward.

Mia whipped around, eyes locked on her son.

Henry tried to wriggle free to get to his mom, but a rough hand gripped his neck and a gun pressed against Annie’s head.

Mia stopped cold. “You’ve got the wrong people,” she managed, her voice tight.

The man looked down at Henry and smirked. “Andre’s only boy, right here. I doubt we’ve made a mistake.”

Andre didn’t answer. He just pulled out a cigarette and lit it, his movements calm.

Mia and Henry stared in shock. Andre never smoked in front of them.

Henry, seeing his father with a cigarette for the first time, reached out, curious. “Daddy, I want one too!”

Andre’s lips curled into a smile, but his eyes were icy. “Go back and tell them this: I’m not doing anything—for now. But I’ll wait until the Dark Web disappears from this world.”

The man snorted. “Big talk, Andre. I’ll be waiting.”

Andre’s gaze flicked to the man behind Mia, unflinching. “Remember—tell them, it’s ‘they’ I’m after.” Not just some petty offshoot.

He met Mia’s eyes. “Don’t be scared.”

Mia shook her head and managed a smile through her pout. “Not scared at all, honey. I know you’ll save us.”
