Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1510

Cooper was convinced hospitals were a germ-fest, so the second they got outside, he insisted his sweetie walk on her own two feet.

But the moment they hit the sidewalk, the heat was intense. Cooper didn’t hesitate—he scooped his little nephew back up and hurried everyone into the car.

They were just about to pull out of the parking lot when Andre suddenly hit the brakes and stared at a car parked near the hospital entrance.

“What’s wrong, babe?” Mia asked from the passenger seat.

Henry, mimicking his mom’s tone perfectly, chimed in from the back, “Daddy, what’s wrong?”

Without taking his eyes off the license plate, Andre muttered, “That’s Conner’s car.”

He called his friend right away. Conner Nettleton was just coming out of the hospital with Annie after her prenatal checkup. Earlier, he’d managed to scare the doctor half to death, but Annie just laughed it off. “I’m a cop, and this is my husband. He just looks scary, don’t worry.”

Annie nudged Conner out the door. “Why are you so eager to know if it’s a boy or a girl already?” she teased.

“If it’s a girl, I can start bragging now,” he shot back, half-serious.

Just then, Conner’s phone rang. Seeing Andre’s name, he picked up right away, swallowing the urge to blurt out any baby news. “Hey, Andre?”

Andre asked, “Did you bring Annie to Havenbrook for her checkup?”

“How’d you know?” Conner glanced around, trying to spot someone spying on them in the busy hospital crowd.

Andre replied, “Henry had his checkup and got his vaccines today. We’re out in the parking lot.”

“Don’t leave yet—wait for us! I want to see my godson before I head out. Let’s grab lunch together.”

Andre hesitated, but agreed.

Conner planted a kiss on his godson’s cheek before finally greeting Andre. Then he spotted Cooper in the front seat and grinned, “Hey, Cooper, you came too.”

“I’m here for my little guy’s checkup. Otherwise, everyone keeps saying he’s too chubby,” Cooper replied, half-joking.

Conner ruffled Henry’s tiny hand. “So is he chubby or what?”

Cooper looked indignant. “He just looks cute and squishy—that’s not fat.” He was genuinely proud of how adorable his nephew was.

It was roasting outside, so Henry quickly retreated to the back to hang out with his mom and godmother.

The two men figured out where to eat, and Conner headed off to get his car.

Both cars pulled up at Majestic Dining Enclave—a spot Mia used to love so much she’d practically memorized the entire menu. While most people could only dream of getting a table, Mia waltzed in like she owned the place, as if it were her own kitchen.
