Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1509

After a few days of nonstop fun, everyone finally took a break and caught their breath.

As soon as Mia heard her younger brother was home, she scooped up little Cooper Irvin—her chubby bundle of joy—and headed over to her parents’ place. Her grandparents had been missing their great-grandson so much that Molly brought Wayne along to visit the in-laws, too.

Cooper, holding his plump little guy, couldn’t help but shower him with kisses. “Whoa, have you gotten chunkier, little man?”

That evening, Henry was still bursting with energy, tugging on his mom’s hand, begging her to take him outside again. Even after a round outside, he wasn’t satisfied. Once they got home, he kept pulling at Mia’s hand, insisting on another trip. Finally, Cooper took him out for another adventure and didn’t bring him back until nine o’clock.

The minute they got home, and Henry saw his parents, Cooper whisked him away again for more playtime.

Lately, Madison Irvin had started fretting about her son’s love life. “All the moms out there are already trying to find wives for their boys, and some of them are younger than Cooper! But all he does is dote on Henry. Shouldn’t we be a little more proactive?” she asked her husband that night.

Aaron just shrugged. “He’s still a kid. Those women are just bored. Let’s get some sleep.”

Madison even mentioned it to her daughter. Mia, half-absorbed in a stack of preschool brochures at the time, replied offhandedly, “What’s the rush? If I hadn’t gotten a sudden proposal, I’d probably still be single too.”

Noah had organized those brochures ages ago, and every time Henry got up to shenanigans, Noah would go looking for them. This time, Mia just put them straight to use, saving herself the trouble.

Flipping through the pages, Mia read about the schools, the playgrounds, and the programs. She couldn’t help but wonder if her little tiger cub would cry at preschool, missing his mom and dad, or if he’d feel left out, get his feelings hurt, or just clam up. The thought made her heart ache.

“Grandma, look! Your precious is home!” Henry came back, sun-kissed and rosy-cheeked, carried in by his uncle.

Madison rushed over to scoop up her grandson. “Where did your uncle take you today?”

“I flew!” Henry announced proudly.

Cooper glanced at the brochures his sister was holding, then shot Mia a suspicious look. “Sis, what are you up to? I’m telling you now, don’t even think about it!”

Andre replied, “That’s because you spoil him.”

Cooper grinned, “Yeah, but I spoil him smart. It’s all positive guidance.”

Mia just ate quietly, watching her husband and her brother go back and forth.

Meanwhile, Henry was happily letting his grandma feed him bites of food, while his grandpa handed him peeled shrimp. Cooper even managed to sneak him spoonfuls of rice soup. His own parents, on the other hand, couldn’t even get close, let alone manage him.

In the end, since both the Irvin and Hansen families agreed Henry was too young for school, the plan was dropped.

At every hospital check-up, Henry’s weight was always just barely above the minimum line. Cooper would even skip going to the office with his dad just so he could tag along to Henry’s check-ups. At the hospital, Henry refused to walk on his own, but as soon as the doctor asked him to move, the kid suddenly had energy to spare.
