Swapping a Broken Heart for a New Start novel Chapter 667

Old Mr. Williams was having a rough time over here, to say the least.

Camila Davis had been worried at first—if Old Mr. Williams ever found out, she’d probably get the blame for it.

But Dennis Williams reassured her, “Don’t worry. I won’t let that happen. He’ll never know.”

Camila couldn’t help but laugh at that.

A few days later, she finally finished putting together all the herbal teas, vitamins, and supplements she’d crafted to help with his health issues.

She wasted no time nudging Dennis: "Go on, take these back to him already."

That same evening, Dennis lugged several grocery bags back to the Smith Estate.

When he walked in, Old Mr. Williams was still in a huff. He barely acknowledged Dennis, his face stony.

He snarked, “Well, look who decided to visit the old man! Thought you’d forgotten there’s still someone named Williams living here.”

Dennis just raised a brow, set the bags down in front of the old man, and didn’t bother arguing. Instead, he played along, “If I’d forgotten, would I have made a special trip to bring you all these healthy goodies tonight?”

Old Mr. Williams eyed the spread on the table and snorted. “Please, you think you can bribe me with this? I’ve seen better in my day. If you think this’ll make me forgive you, you’re underestimating me.”

Dennis sat down across from him, unhurried. “Oh, really? So you’re not the least bit touched? That’s funny, because I was thinking of letting you off an hour early from training in the future. But now…”

He trailed off, and Old Mr. Williams’ face changed in an instant.

He dropped the act and scrambled to say, “Eat, eat! Of course I’ll eat it all, every day, on time! I’m in great shape, really!”

Which was his way of saying: No need for more training.
