Audrey couldn’t get Robert off her mind. She was still thinking about him as she drifted off to sleep. The next morning, before Walter was even properly awake, he saw a message from her pop up on his phone.
“Didn’t The Wilson Group donate a teaching building to The Harrisburg University?”
Walter rubbed his eyes and thought for a second before replying, “Yeah, we did.”
Her reply came right away. “I’ve got an idea!”
He couldn’t help but be surprised. She’d really come up with something overnight? His curiosity was definitely piqued.
She started explaining, her messages coming fast. “What if we ask the university to help us organize a small cultural expo? We could get some of the student clubs involved. The exhibition could feature traditional costumes, classic instruments, ancient dances… all the best parts of Estonian culture. Thousands of years of history, right? And of course, we can’t skip martial arts. Maybe we could even invite a Shaolin team to perform. Robert’s obsessed with martial arts, so there’s no way he’d miss it! If we do this, it’ll feel natural for us to get close and talk to him.”
Walter read through her plan. Honestly, it sounded great. Everything about it felt natural and relaxed, not forced or too obvious.
“It’s a solid idea,” he replied, “but organizing and rehearsing all of this will take some time.”
He couldn’t help but worry about the deadline. It was a creative proposal, but if they couldn’t pull it off perfectly, it might backfire and leave Robert unimpressed.
Audrey’s confidence shone right through the screen. “Trust me, I’ve got this! As long as you can get us permission, I can handle the people and logistics. We’re all here for this anyway. I can call a professional team to set up the stage. It won’t take long, we’ll definitely make it in time! Oh, and for the stage, I think it’ll be best if we set it up by the lake, somewhere with a view. Estonia is famous for its amazing landscapes. If we highlight our culture against a backdrop of water and greenery, it’ll be even more beautiful and atmospheric. Robert’s going to love it.”
She paused, then added, “But if you think my plan is too much trouble, I can have my team take care of it.”
Walter replied right away, “No need.” She’d already planned so much, he couldn’t just leave everything to her.
“As a local, my team can probably get things done a little faster. If you can send me a detailed file with your ideas, I’ll have Aiden start making arrangements. For now, I need to head to the university and talk to the president.”
Audrey didn’t hesitate. “Then I’ll go with you!”
Walter shared Audrey’s plan, laying out every detail. “Robert is really into Estonian culture, so I thought this would be the perfect chance to host a cultural exhibition.”
He handed over the proposal. The president read through it, nodding and smiling the whole time. “This is a fantastic idea, Mr. Wilson. I support it completely.”
The Wilson Group had been donating buildings and equipment to the university for years, so the president had no reason to object. A cultural exhibition would highlight the nation’s traditions and heritage, which was great for the university’s reputation. Even better, The Wilson Group would organize and fund everything themselves. Opportunities like this didn’t come around often, so of course he said yes.
Within half an hour, everything was set.
The president promised, “Just go ahead and make the arrangements, Mr. Wilson. I’ll give you all the authorization you need. Once you have a detailed plan, our team will fully cooperate.”
Walter nodded, satisfied. “Thank you, Adolf. I really appreciate it.”
With that settled, Walter and Audrey left the office together.
