Swapping a Broken Heart for a New Start novel Chapter 1057

The moment the shop owner set eyes on the blue diamond, he just stared, completely stunned. The gem was perfectly clear, not a single flaw in sight. Its size and shape matched exactly with the legendary one he remembered from years ago.

He stepped in for a closer look, his whole face filled with disbelief. His hands shook as he carefully took the diamond from Dennis Williams. “Is this really the ‘Eye of the Universe’? The same one that showed up at auction all those years back and sold to some mysterious buyer for three hundred million dollars?”

Dennis gave a quiet nod. “It is.”

The owner lit up with excitement. For someone who’d spent his life surrounded by jewelry, handling rare gems was a dream come true. He was getting older now, had seen his fair share of priceless stones, and these days, it took a lot to impress him. Even so, coming face-to-face with something truly one of a kind was a once-in-a-lifetime moment. And now, the most famous diamond of them all was sitting right in his palm. He could barely believe it was real.

Most people had only glimpsed this stone in glossy magazine photos. Ever since it vanished after the auction, no one had seen it in person.

The owner’s hand trembled. He was almost afraid to hold it too tightly, worried it might disappear like a dream. Once he realized it really was the ‘Eye of the Universe,’ he looked at Dennis, still in shock. “Are you sure you want to trust us with this?”

Dennis smiled. “Absolutely. There’s no one out there with better craftsmanship than your team.”

Kaston was the heart of the fashion world, and this shop was known for its generations of masterful artistry. If Dennis didn’t trust them, he wouldn’t have come at all.

The owner’s happiness was obvious. He looked at Dennis with gratitude. “Thank you for believing in us, Mr. Williams. But this diamond is priceless. To make it into a ring, we’ll have to cut it. Are you really okay with that? Aren’t you worried you’ll regret it?”

Since the diamond was so rare, nothing could be left to chance. The owner spent plenty of time going over every little detail with Dennis before finally writing everything down. Only then did Dennis say goodbye and leave the shop.

When he got back to the café, he saw Camila with her chin propped on her hand, totally lost in thought. As soon as she spotted him coming in, her eyes lit up. “What took you so long?”

Dennis walked over, gently took her hand, and sat down beside her. “I had something important to take care of,” he said softly.

The word ‘important’ caught her attention, and she grew a bit anxious. “Did something happen? Do you need to go deal with it?”
