Spoiled by the Silver Fox novel Chapter 745

The kitchen light was on.

He found himself drawn to it, as if by instinct.

Seeing Stephanie bustling about, but not spotting Emily, he couldn't help but ask, "Where's Emily?"

Startled by his sudden voice, Stephanie jumped, exclaiming, "Silver Fox, you're done with work?"

Sebastian closed the distance with swift strides, gently patting her back, "Did I scare you?"

Pouting, Stephanie grumbled, "Do you always move so quietly?"

"Sorry about that."

"It's okay. Emily said she didn't want to intrude on our 'couple's time,' so she went over to her mom's."

"She went by herself?"

"That girl's too smart for her age, hustled some cash, and got Sullivan to pick her up and drop her off at her mom's. And Sullivan actually played along, must be bored out of his mind at the hotel."

"That's fine then. Sullivan's a trustworthy guy."

It was because he treasured these moments of her straightforwardness far too much.

And because, as she explained all this, she revealed so much care and concern for him.

Just listening made his heart turn to mush.

He reached out, softly tapping her head, "Sweetheart. I wasn't sulking, nor was I upset. But having you explain it to me in person, it clears the air. Because that way, I can see clearly that you have me in your heart."

Blinking, Stephanie teased, "So if I don't explain myself to you, does that mean you're not in my heart anymore?"
