Hank couldn't help but feel a mixture of amusement and anxiety as he followed Stephanie into Gracie's office.
Settling Emily in her lap, Stephanie got straight to the point with Gracie, "So, Gracie, what do you think of my little brother Hank here? How's his look?"
Gracie gave Hank a thorough once-over, then turned to Stephanie with a puzzled expression, "He looks fine to me. What's up?"
"From your expert talent agent perspective, do you think he's got what it takes to make it big in showbiz?"
At this, Gracie's gaze turned contemplative. Even Ashley, who was also in the room, took a closer look at Hank.
Hank, however, shook his head, "Steph, you don't have to do this. I can't act."
"You can learn! My acting coach is training newcomers, and you must know who she is, right?"
Hank offered a wry smile, "Movie star Ashley. I grew up watching her TV shows."
Deep down, Hank was riddled with insecurities.
Most people would be over the moon to meet their childhood idol, bursting with excitement, but not Hank. He dared not show a hint of it.
The Hank who used to banter with Stephanie had really changed a lot.
Stephanie sighed, "Gracie, have you come to a conclusion?"
Gracie nodded, "I think he's got potential."
"He's tied up with that trendy agency Zola used to be with, on a ten-year contract. Gracie, any chance we could snag him for our company instead?"
Gracie gasped, "That agency usually does three-year contracts, right? A ten-year deal is a rip-off! Both artists and influencers' value and price can skyrocket as their popularity grows. He's been taken for a ride!"
"Uh. I didn't do anything! I just had some fast food!"
"Have you ever seen a celeb openly going out for fast food?"
"So, Gracie, are you suggesting that next time I should disguise myself with a mask, hat and sunglasses?"
"You’d better educate yourself on the self-cultivation of an actor. And stop causing trouble for me. Trending on Twitter every other day might increase your popularity, but if President Ingram blames me, I can't handle that."
"Why would Sebastian blame you?"
Gracie glared at her, "That's because nothing scandalous has been caught on camera yet. If something does, see if your CEO won't come after me."
Stephanie laughed helplessly, "Got it, Gracie. I'll be more careful from now on. I've just started getting some heat and didn't think it through."
