Sebastian Ingram was baffled. He covertly glanced at Marilyn Bishop, who was doing her own thing as he eavesdropped on their conversation.
Feeling a little uncomfortable, he asked, "Wasn't it you who approached me first?"
"What if I hadn’t approached you? You wouldn't be interested in me at all, would you?"
"Stephanie, what on earth is going on with you?"
"You clearly like goddess-like women, marrying me must make you feel super uncomfortable, right?"
A twitch formed on Sebastian’s lips, "Goddess?"
So, was Stephanie's previous get-up an attempt to impersonate a goddess?
"Isn't that right! I totally understand men now! As long as a woman takes the initiative, you guys will just roll with it, won't you?"
What kind of logic was that? Sebastian was completely baffled.
Meanwhile, Stephanie continued her rant, "I'm done with men! Accepting someone they don't even like, how horrifying!!"
She was so angry that she could barely eat.
Marilyn, who was eavesdropping, was just as confused, but she didn't think it was her place to butt in.
Sebastian, who was being scolded, had no clue what he had done wrong.
He said coldly, "Stephanie, what on earth are you talking about?"
Marilyn, sensing the tense atmosphere, couldn't help but try to mediate, "Stephanie, are these lines from your new drama? Are you too engrossed in your new role?"
Stephanie scoffed, "My new drama is a science fiction drama, not a romance, Mom! What are you on about!?"
"What are you on about!? You've got Sebastian so confused! You're just stirring the pot!"
"Mom, are you getting angry too!"
And now it's like this. He wanted to figure out what was going on too.
He silently followed Stephanie into the room.
As soon as Stephanie entered the room, she sat down on the bed and angrily said, "Even my mom's hitting me now, and you didn't even protect me."
Sebastian's lips twitched as he said, "Why should I help you when you're the one stirring up trouble?"
"Who's stirring up trouble! It's all because of you!"
"What did I do?"
Stephanie sniffled, her eyes red as she looked at him and said, "It's because you like noble and elegant women like goddesses!"
"Who told you I like noble and elegant women like goddesses?"
"Putnam Damon did!"
