After washing the clothes, the two wrung them out together and hung them on the clothesline in the yard.
Just as they finished hanging them up, a crowd suddenly surged into the yard.
"Steph, are you doing laundry? Where's your mom?"
Steph looked up to see all of the relatives who had once refused to lend her money when she needed it, including her maternal grandparents.
What the hell do they want?
Steph's face instinctively darkened.
Sebastian noticed and asked, "What's up?"
"Nothing, I'm going to call my mom."
Hearing the commotion outside, Marilyn came out.
Seeing her family, she asked with surprise, "Dad, Mom? Why are you all here?"
Steph's grandmother looked at Marilyn sternly and said, "If we don't come, are you planning on never coming home?"
"Well, we have a guest at home, Steph's boyfriend is here. I'm entertaining him."
"This young man is Steph's boyfriend? He didn't even greet us when we came?"
Marilyn frowned, "You guys haven't met him before, and he doesn't know you. If you have something to say, let's go inside."
Marilyn’s nieces were so entranced by Sebastian that they forgot to move.
Wow...
They had never seen such a handsome guy before.
This guy was Steph's boyfriend.
Zandra confidently walked up and reached out to Sebastian, saying, "Hello, I'm Zandra, Steph's cousin."
Sebastian had no intention of shaking her hand, he just said indifferently, "I'm sorry, I just finished hanging clothes, so my hands are a bit damp. I'm Sebastian, Steph's fiancé."
They were just dating, right?
Fiancé?
That status felt different.
But as long as they weren't married yet, there was still a chance, right?
Zandra withdrew her hand without any embarrassment, praising him, "Not only are you handsome, but you're also a gentleman. Are you afraid your hands are too cold from hanging the clothes and would freeze me?"
Sebastian twitched his mouth and said, "Actually, that's not it."
