"Hmph, who'd want to go to this lousy birthday bash?"
"Putnam, are you trying to protect this girl? She's pissed off everyone here! We won't let her off the hook, no way! Even if your family is one of the top four, messing with us is going to end badly!"
Putnam gazed at the crowd and asked, "So, are you guys planning to keep stirring up trouble? Ruin the party for everyone?"
"She made a scene and upset us; we won't let her get away with it!"
Even Angelina Peck chimed in, "Putnam, best leave it alone... She's the one who got drunk and started stirring the pot. Trouble follows her like a shadow. You can help her out once, but can you always be there?"
Putnam replied coolly, "My business is none of your concern, Ms. Peck. All in all, I've warned you: this girl's not to be trifled with. If you're not willing to let it go, suit yourselves."
Angelina Peck, humiliated in front of everyone, retorted with a strained smile, "Putnam, I was only looking out for you, considering our families' relations."
"There's no relationship between our families, Ms. Peck. Please don't make assumptions, thank you."
Maddie, smitten by Putnam's charm, asked him dreamily, "What about the Palmer family? Are we related to your Damon family?"
Putnam asked, "Have you had too much to drink?"
"I haven't even started drinking yet!"
"Then why are you talking nonsense?"
"I'm just so happy to see you... Putnam, you really came; I'm so thrilled."
"How thrilled?"
Stephanie shot back, "Putnam, it's Maddie's birthday... Be nice to her; otherwise, I won't help you anymore."
Putnam raised an eyebrow. "If I'm nice to her, you'll help me?"
"Uh-huh... isn't it helping you? My Silver Fox and I sleep together every weekend; next time I'll plead your case beside his pillow."
Brian chuckled, "lady, calm down."
"I won't...burp..." Stephanie grabbed a bottle and took a few swigs; her face flushed even more.
"Get her!"
The crowd couldn't hold back anymore; voices rose in accusation.
Stephanie, fearless, stood barefoot on a table, an empty bottle in hand. She threw one after another, accurately hitting her targets, causing them to retreat.
Gillian stood behind her, supplying her with bottles and making sure she wasn't at a disadvantage.
They were an unstoppable duo.
Sebastian couldn't help but laugh. With such a pathetic display, she dared to cause a scene here.
