Spoiled by the Silver Fox novel Chapter 401

Sebastian didn't utter a word; instead, he headed straight to his grandpa's study upstairs.

The call was from his grandpa.

Now that he was back, he figured he just had to butter up his grandpa a bit, and then he could bounce.

Before coming over, Marilyn had mentioned that Stephanie would be back soon to celebrate his birthday.

He didn't want her to wait too long.

In the study, Jaxon Ingram sat in front of his desk, looking a bit worn out.

The door was knocked and he said nonchalantly, "Come in."

Knowing Sebastian was back, Jaxon didn't even raise his head.

Sebastian was quite patient; he waited for a while before finally starting, "You seem a bit off, grandpa. Wiped out?"

Jaxon glared at him irritably. "Don't people age? The older you get, the more energy you lose!"

"Grandpa, you seem... pretty fit... Living another decade or so, no problem."

"Humph, you can't wait to get rid of me, huh! You've even picked up the art of sweet talking."

Sebastian raised his brow and said, "You know what I think, grandpa... I'm definitely the one in this family who wishes you a long, healthy life the most. As for your sons and grandsons, that's another story."

"They're both Ingrams; what's the point in all this? I'm leaving everything to you because I trust your judgment. You may argue on the surface, but listen to my words. Look at Aaron; he's doing well, isn't he? Even though he’s learning to run a company, at least he's not causing trouble. As for Mitchell, he's back from studying abroad. I've been watching him these past few days; he's got potential. With your guidance, he could be your right-hand man."

Sebastian sneered, "When my father was in power, my uncle was his right-hand man; what happened then? Sorry, grandpa... Once a traitor, always a traitor. That includes their descendants."

"So you've completely written off Kamden? I'm not even dead yet!" Jaxon laughed out loud.

"Well, grandpa, you better hang in there. The issue at hand is our future. If you leave, I will completely write them off."

"Why can't you ever listen? Forget it; it's your birthday. I don't feel like yelling at you or beating you. Just behave yourself and stay for the family dinner. Let me keep some dignity, okay?

I'm not getting any younger, and I don't know how much time I have left. I'm not sure how many more birthdays I can celebrate with you."
