Ashley was genuinely happy for Stephanie.
Stephanie was busy feeding Emily and Sebastian.
Sebastian looked at her antics and found it amusing.
After dinner, Sebastian asked Ashley, "What's on the agenda for Ms. Morris next?"
Stephanie immediately chimed in, "Silver Fox, you helped me set up my own artist studio, so I'm the boss, right?"
"Yep."
"Well, I want to hire Ms. Morris to work at my studio, and let her bring her kid, is that okay?"
Sebastian replied casually, "If Ms. Morris is game, I don't mind."
Ashley shook her head and said, "Steph, forget it. I don't want to be a nuisance. Emily and I are just fine at home."
"Ashley, I've said it before, even if you don't think about yourself, I need to think about Emily. I really like her. I even plan to make Emily a child star! She has a knack for acting, way better than me, and she's obedient and sweet. She's bound to hit the big time."
Ashley gave a bitter smile, "I know Emily does have a talent for acting, but the entertainment industry is tough, and I can't help her right now."
"Ashley, you didn't know who my Silver Fox was before, but now that you've met him, you should understand that I will be the future Mrs. CEO of Skyline Corporation. I have the capability to protect Emily with all my might. If I am unable to fulfill that responsibility, then being the Mrs. CEO would hold no true purpose," Stephanie asserted with unwavering determination.
Sebastian shot her a cold look and said flatly, "Then don't be."
Stephanie quickly said, "Hey, Silver Fox, I didn't mean that. I was just trying to convince my teacher."
So you think being Mrs. CEO of Skyline Corporation is something you can just toss aside if it's not useful? Sebastian thought.
Suddenly, she gritted her teeth and said, "Steph, I'll do it. I'll work at your studio, but is it really okay to bring Emily to work?"
"What's wrong with that? If you don't have time to take care of Emily, I'll drop her off at school."
"I've already caused you enough trouble."
Even Sebastian added, "It's all good."
"Silver Fox, it's really okay. Emily is such a sweetheart, even if I have to hold her during class, it won't affect me."
True, this little girl was very well-behaved. If Stephanie were half as good, he wouldn't be so annoyed every day.
Sebastian said indifferently, "Whatever you say."
