Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 25

The Jennings family, including Isaac Collins who had tried to escape, were eventually brought under control.

The banquet was naturally scattered and the guests left confused and stunned by the sudden farce.

However, with Gideon Leith present, no one dared to ask anything.

They could only guess all sorts of speculations privately.

Who was Gideon Leith?

He was the heir to the Leith family magnate; the man who held the lifeblood of the whole Chinese business community.

It was not an exaggeration to say that a man like him would be able to marry a princess if he so wished.

Furthermore, the Leith family, along with Graham, Garrett, and Foster, were known as the Four Great Clans. They could be considered the founding fathers of China, and members of these families rarely had the right to decide on their own marriages. Most of them were political marriages.

How could the Leith family allow their most outstanding successor to marry a commoner’s daughter?

The crowd could not stop talking about it.

Gideon had been on the market for a long time. After they got over their initial shock, they came up with their own conclusions.

These days, men would inevitably dabble in all sorts of women. That held true even if it was someone with status like Gideon Leith.

Gideon had never been involved in scandals before, which led to rumors that he did not like women.

However, the truth was that he simply had not met anyone he liked.

Now that he finally found the one, he was naturally afraid of breaking her in his arms or melting her in his mouth, so he indulged her and treated her like royalty.

However, it was one thing to be nice to her, and another thing to marry and bring her home.

After all, no one had heard of Gideon Leith getting married, or that the Leith family had a new lady of the house.

Nevertheless, Nell Jennings was quite a lucky one. Even if there was no possibility of entering the Leith family, being able to stay with Gideon Leith for a short period of time was already a blessing that others could not help but envy.

Everyone had their own speculations in their heart, but Gideon had no intention of paying attention to their thoughts.

Nell had been drugged. He noticed it the moment he caught her.

It was because of this that he did not immediately pursue the Jennings family as well as Isaac Collins for what they did.

After all, it was more important to help her first.

In the luxuriously decorated presidential suite, Gideon placed her on the bed and turned to prepare a towel for her.

The hem of his shirt was suddenly caught by a pale white hand.

Nell looked at him with a weak expression. Her delicate face was covered in a thin layer of scarlet and her red lips parted slightly.

“Water…”

She still could not make a sound, but Gideon understood the shape her lips made.

“Wait a moment.”

When he came back, he had an extra hot towel in his hands in addition to a cup of warm water.

He went to the bed and sat down, and fed Nell half a cup of water after helping her up. Then, he took the hot towel to wipe her face and hands.

Nell itched from the heat on the towel. It was as if there were millions of little bugs crawling around inside her body, making her feel unbearable.

She struggled and Gideon withdrew his hands. He saw her beautiful eyebrows puckered and watery eyes that were fixed on him. Her eyes pinched shut immediately as if she was struggling in pain.

The clothes on her body had already been disheveled, and the black tube top dress had loosened slightly, revealing skin.

A flush crept up her neck from her chest and spread to her ears before finally covering her entire facing, adding a sensual color to her pale delicacy.

Nell was curled up in the soft silk quilt when she felt her hand being pulled. She shrank back reflexively.

The female doctor said softly, “Ms. Jennings, don’t be afraid. I’m a doctor. I’m here to treat you.”

It was only after hearing her words that Nell lowered her guard and allowed the doctor to pull her hand over.

The blanket was lifted off. Her body was already burning because of the drug, and since she was covered by the blanket, she naturally became covered with sweat.

The female doctor frowned and said crossly, “How could you still cover her with a blanket in this situation? She’ll get a pseudo-heatstroke.”

Standing at the side, the corner of Gideon’s eyes slanted, but his face remained expressionless.

The female doctor did not pay attention to his expression and carefully examined Nell. Then, she took out an ampule and injected the contents into her.

Nell cooperated obediently the entire time, not resisting at all.

Matthew, however, could feel a trace of displeasure.

He cast a curious glance at Gideon and wondered why his boss suddenly became unhappy in the ten minutes that he was gone.

Ah! It must be because he was angry at the Jennings and that scum, Isaac Collins!

After all, they dared to do something like that to Nell. It was impossible for any man to let them off.

Matthew deeply felt that he was too keen. He speculated in his heart how his boss would handle this matter and secretly thought of several methods to vent his anger on behalf of his boss’s future wife.

On the other side, the doctor finished giving Nell her injection.

She turned to Gideon and said, “The antidote has been administered, but it’ll take a while for her to get better, so you should stay with her for now. If she’s really uncomfortable, let her soak in cold water. She’ll be fine in a while.

Gideon’s face was still expressionless and cold, but he asked, “Why can’t she speak?”
