Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 243

Rumors about Celine hiring someone to kidnap Nell continued spread on the web.

Even the previous recording and Kylie’s testimony had gone viral altogether.

For a moment, Celine landed herself a bad reputation in the business. Although there were people who stood up to her innocence, the majority rather believed the mounting evidence before them.

Thus, the voices against Celine online were to a greater extent.

In the afternoon of the same day, Nell was lying in bed at home when she received a call from Nancy, saying that someone had gone to the police station to meet with the driver, Fernandez.

That person was a famous attorney in the business.

With a conviction still underway, they could not stop the driver’s right to see a lawyer.

There was a lot of involvement in this case. The media had caught wind and kept watch outside the police station, hoping to gather more inside intel.

It was best that Nell did not make an appearance at a time like this. Even Gideon should stay away.

She gave it a thought before answering, “Let them meet. It’s alright.”

Nancy was concerned.

“What if the driver changes his statement? It won’t do you good then.”

Nell coldly curled her lips.

“Don’t worry. I’ve already made up my mind for Celine to take a nosedive into oblivion. Of course, I won’t only have a single card up my sleeve.”

Hearing this, Nancy was finally at ease.

On the other side, Skylar let out a sigh of relief, having had someone sort out the driver after much difficulty.

To her dismay, the police made another announcement the same night.

It was announced that the first scene of the crime where Nell was detained had been discovered. Photos and the address of the secret lair were posted as well.

The public notice dictated that although the police had exhausted all their leads and found the place, the suspect somehow caught on ahead of time and moved to another place.

In other words, Nell had not been found.

The sight of these photographs scared Skylar out of her wits.

She scurried to verify with Celine.

Celine was gobsmacked by the pictures shared online.

It was impossible!

She had already destroyed the scene of the crime and wiped out any trace of her and Nell’s.

How did they manage to snap them?

The secret cell in the photograph was the same as the one that held Nell.

There were signs of struggle on the operation table which was placed right in the center of the room.

The last photograph was a picture of a ring.

The police claimed that the ring was found in the scene of the crime. It was established through Nell’s friends and family that the ring was not hers.

The ring could be left by the person who had masterminded the entire abduction.

This circular accessory was apparent in image, highlighting a heart-shaped diamond shining in brilliance.

With a chill creeping up Celine’s spine, her body trembled as though she was splashed from head to toe with a pail of cold water.

How-how could this be?

Was-was the ring not broken long ago?

Kylie said she was going to help her get it repaired. How did it end up here?

Kylie?!

Hit with a realization, she widened her eyes.

That d*amn girl! They joined forces for this frame-up!

Celine was almost out of her mind. Despite her claim in innocence on this, netizens were still able to dig out photos of her previous events.

“Even if it’s a trap, didn’t you just complacently jump in?”

Celine, “...”

Sensing the displeasure in Skylar’s tone, her complexion darkened.

“Are you ganging up on me too or are you disappointed in me and thinking of leaving me?”

Skylar’s chest tightened.

To be honest, Skylar was not in the same peak as she was before albeit years of dabbling in the industry did earn her certain experience.

However, it was the era of the new generations. She was no better than the managers and public relations of the younger generations, unable to keep up with the times whether in experience or mindset.

Celine was her favorite artist at present. Even with her future at stake, she did not want to see Celine ruined.

Skylar sighed at that thought.

“Don’t think too much. That’s not what I mean.”

She paused before adding. “Things aren’t looking good for us. Do you have a plan?”

Celine shook her head.

“I don’t know. My head’s a mess right now.”

With a frown, Skylar dwelled in her thoughts.

“If it has been Nell’s plan all along just as you said, then our only way out is to find her. As long as we can prove that she’s okay and free, the facts will disprove the rumors and...”

There was a sneaky glint in her dark eyes.

“If we play it right, we might be able to persevere under trial and rise from the ashes.”

Dumbstruck, Celine gazed at her. “How do we rise from the ashes?”

“Ha! See, what if the public finds out that Nell is fine and all of it was an act? What if the police were in on it with her, to frame you, to cast you out of the entertainment world and take everything from you? What do you think everyone will say?”
