Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 103

“Seven! Wait!”

Nell paused in her tracks.

She looked back.

“Is there anything else?”

Old K hesitated before saying, “The Dragon Regiment hasn’t been peaceful recently, and there are many people secretly looking for you. Be careful!”

Nell was stunned.

After a moment, she smiled.

“I got it. Thanks.”

Old K also smiled.

“I’m just casually reminding an old friend as someone who knows a few people here and there. You’re welcome.”

Nell nodded and said nothing more, and turned to leave.

Inside the Rolls-Royce sedan.

Mathew watched the two people who went separate ways in front of the cafe and was slightly alarmed.

He glanced at his Boss’s face and asked cautiously. “President, are we still going over?”

Gideon frowned as he watched the slender figure drifting away in the evening.

After a moment, he said, “No need.”

Then, the door closed again, and the Rolls-Royce drove away.

Due to the angle, Nell did not see the Rolls-Royce parked on the other side.

When she got into her car, she received a phone call from Gideon.

The man’s voice was somewhat cold as he asked, “Where are you?”

Nell’s eyebrows rose and she looked at the crowd of traffic around her before saying casually. “At the company. Why?”

The other party’s breath paused.

For some reason, Nell felt slightly uneasy and carefully looked to her left and right to make sure that there were no familiar faces or cars, and felt slightly relieved.

She quickly asked, “Have you finished work?”

“Not yet.”

“Then… All the best to your work. I’ll see you later tonight?”

“Yes, see you later.”

After hanging up the phone, Nell breathed a sigh of relief.

She looked at the darkened phone screen for a moment and suddenly revealed a self-deprecating smile.

What was she feeling guilty about?

That man was not her real husband.

So what if she slept with him twice before? So what if they got a certificate?

Was he not hiding something from her too? Why did she have to be single-mindedly devoted and honest with him?

Nell tried hard to convince herself and only managed to suppress the feeling of uneasiness and guilt after a long time.

On the other hand, after Gideon hung up the phone. He thought of the figure he had just seen in front of the cafe and remembered the woman’s casual lie over the phone, and his eyes grew cold.

He smiled coldly and ordered Matthew.

“Go and find out who he is.”

Even without going into detail, Matthew knew who the ‘he’ Gideon was referring to.

He quickly agreed.

At night, when she returned home, Gideon was already back.

When Nell entered, Aunt Joyce welcomed her with a smile. “Missus, you’re back. Dinner is ready. Mr. Leith is also waiting for you in the dining hall!”

Nell nodded and entered the dining hall.

There, Gideon was wearing a white shirt and sitting upright in his seat.

His handsome face was firm, and the tips of his eyebrows were frosty and harsh in a rare sight.

He only raised his eyes slightly upon seeing her enter and did not say anything.

Nell was keenly aware that there was something wrong with today’s atmosphere. She looked at Aunt Joyce, who shot her a look while standing behind Gideon.

Mr. Leith is in a bad mood today, so everyone was working while on tenterhooks.

Nell understood and smiled after sitting down. “Have you been busy lately? Are you tired?”

“If, in your eyes, a couple should be honest with each other without any privacy, then I’d like to trouble Mr. Leith to set an example first.”

Nell felt that she lost all appetite tonight. She put down the bowl and chopsticks in her hands and got up to leave when Gideon stopped her.

“Stop right there!”

Nell paused and frowned at him.

“What did you mean by that? Speak clearly!”

Nell sneered.

The grievances and anger that she had suppressed for an entire day burst out at once. “What did I mean by that? Can’t you guess? Your relationship with your prospective fiancee and your child. According to your point of view, should I, as the wife, have the right to know about that as well?”

The dining hall was instantly plunged into silence.

The quiet was so deafening that one could hear a pin drop.

The servants stared with wide eyes and dropped jaws, wearing incredulous expressions.

It was as if everyone stopped breathing at that moment. They only secretly admired Nell’s courage!

They had never seen anyone who dared to get angry with Mr. Leith. Missus was the first!

Was… Mr. Leith angry?

When they turned to look, they saw his handsome face as dark as water. The cold air exuding from his body could almost freeze someone to death.

Uh oh! Oh no!

What should they do if he really was angry?

Before the servants could react, Gideon had already spoken coldly. “Everyone get out!”

The servants exchanged glances and all quickly retreated.

Nell stood where she was and looked at him with cold eyes.

There was a trace of regret in her heart.

She clearly said that she would not care, so why was she so angry at that moment?

She was so angry that she could not help but ask him directly!

If the truth really turned out to be what she heard, how would she be able to cope then?

She felt lost just thinking about it!
