"Andy!" Seeing her son fall to the ground, Vanessa immediately scooped him up, her heart aching.
"Mommy, that woman knocked me over..." Andy sobbed, pointing an accusing finger at Yvonne.
Vanessa flew into a rage without bothering to ask what happened. Glaring at Yvonne, she snapped, "Are you blind? Do you have any idea who we are? If anything happens to my son, I'll make you pay."
"I don't care who you are," Mrs. Cooper retorted. She had nearly been knocked over herself and was still shaken, clutching her pregnant belly as she composed herself.
As a veteran of the business world, she was no pushover. She pointed at Vanessa and her son and shot back.
"You'd better watch your little brat! He was running wild in a public place and almost crashed right into my stomach. If anything happens to my baby, you'll be the one I won't let off the hook."
"What big talk. Do you even know who I am? I'm the daughter of the Thompson family," Vanessa said, tilting her chin up arrogantly.
She certainly had the air of a spoiled heiress.
Vanessa had been sent abroad when she was just a few years old and had only recently returned to the country.
So, while Yvonne knew Frank had an illegitimate daughter named Vanessa, this was the first time she had seen her in person.
"Ms. Thompson?" Mrs. Cooper reacted with a cold laugh.
The Thompson family was publicly known to have only two sons, Noah and Bennett. And Frank only acknowledged Bennett as his sole heir. There was no 'daughter of the family.'
If Vanessa was insisting she was a 'Ms. Thompson,' then she could only be Frank's unacknowledged, illegitimate daughter.
