Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 5417

Tony said, “Louis is out of the question. Isabella practically raised him. It won’t be easy for you to wrap him around your finger.”

Back then, Tony tried to set Manny up with Tati and did not bother to consider Isabella because the latter was a force to be reckoned with. Surely, Louis, growing up under Isabella’s guidance, would refuse to be tamed.

“Who else is better, Grandpa? I have feelings for Louis. Laurence was just my mission, but it’s a different story with Louis.”

Roxy honestly fancied Louis.

It was love at first sight.

Of course, Louis’s standing was the most attractive trait. He was a worthy match for her. Since Roxy was the granddaughter of the Longbottoms’ acting family head, she had every right to become the lady of the O’Connor household.

Laurence was good-looking, but in terms of family hierarchy, he was technically her distant uncle. The family did not have proof that Laurence was a Longbottom before, but Manny assigned her to get close to him and find evidence to suggest so.

Louis was different from Laurence. He had no family ties to Roxy, so she could very well pursue him.

After much silence, Tony said, “Roxy, maybe you should leave the country with the rest of the family. Don’t stay here anymore.”

Tony instructed Manny to send the young members abroad, just to keep the bloodline. His grandchildren had done nothing wrong. Even if Laurence wanted to vanquish the entire family, he had no reason to commit murder.

They were living in a society bound by the law, unlike back in the day when it was all about the survival of the fittest.

He had not included Roxy in the migration because her marriage was a great strategy to find a powerful ally.

However, Roxy was his first granddaughter. Tony always had a soft spot for his first grandchild. Now that he had seen the bigger picture, he did not want to ruin Roxy’s future.

This was why he suggested that Roxy should leave the country and never come back.

With Laurence dropping his disguise, it must mean he was ready to take over the Longbottom family. He must have prepared to unleash his vengeance, too.
