Jeanne’s eyes instantly lit up, and she asked, “Who?”

“Ms. Callia.”

Jeanne went speechless for a second. “Callia is our cousin. Of course, he stays in close touch with her. I’m asking if Sonny has a romantic interest! You’re his personal secretary, and you’re always with him, so you must know something.”

“In that case, no, there really isn’t anyone. Mr. Brown doesn’t closely associate with any young women outside of work. In fact, ninety-nine percent of the female executives we do business with are much older than he is, usually by ten to twenty years, and some are even grandmothers.”

Jeanne looked disappointed. “Are there really no younger ones? Don’t those business moguls have daughters, younger sisters, or granddaughters?”

“Well, they do bring their daughters or granddaughters along to networking events sometimes to show them the ropes, but none of them have much personal contact with the boss.”

Joseph smiled at Jeanne and added, “Ms. Jeanne, if Mr. Brown ever falls in love, he won't keep it a secret from you. He dotes on you so much. I doubt you two hide any secrets from each other.”

Everyone in the company knew Sonny was a massive protector of his family, especially when it came to Jeanne and Callia.

“I know if he dates someone, he’ll tell me. But since he’s single right now, I just want to know if there’s any young woman he interacts with even slightly more than usual, just to see if there’s a spark. He’s already in his mid-thirties, and my parents are dying for grandbabies.”

Joseph shook his head. “Then there's no one like that.”

Jeanne thought for a moment and changed her approach. “Okay, has there been any young woman who met my brother but didn’t swoon over him? Someone who completely ignored his charm?”

Joseph thought about it for quite a while before giving an uncertain answer. “Well, maybe Ms. Everly might count.”

“Ms. Everly? Ms. Everly, who?”

"Ms. Everly of Flemming Group, based in Clearfield. She's probably around twenty-eight or twenty-nine years old, so she’s a bit younger than Mr. Brown. Our company finalized a major partnership with Flemming Group a while back, and Old Mr. Flemming brought her over to sign the contracts. They stayed in town for two to three days.
