Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 5329

The wheel loader driver did as Laurence instructed and delivered the crushed flowers to the entrance of Longbottom Corporation, dumping all of it there.

The security guards at Longbottom Corporation were still wondering why a wheel loader and an Isuzu were there until the flowers were dumped at their building entrance. They immediately came to their senses and ran out to question the driver.

The driver replied, “These flowers were given to Mr. Young by Ms. Longbottom, but he didn’t accept them, so he asked us to transport them back here.

“Now, he’s returned them to her. Remember, Mr. Young didn’t accept a single flower from Ms. Longbottom.”

The driver drove off.

The security guards exchanged trepid glances before hurriedly taking photos and sending them on to their team leader, thereafter reporting it to the higher-ups.

Soon, Roxy received a call from her father.

Manny gave her the tongue-lashing of her life over the phone.

She was still waiting at the Longtail Group entrance for Laurence. After a stunned moment, she said, “No wonder they shoveled away all those flowers. I thought they were just clearing the area. I didn’t expect them to send it to our company.

“Pa, just get the drivers to take them away. They’ve all been crushed by the loader and aren’t pretty anymore.

“I’m still at Longtail, waiting for Laurence to come out. I don’t believe he won’t leave at some point.”

Manny ordered. “Come back immediately. Haven’t you embarrassed yourself enough already?”

“Didn’t you tell me that I shouldn’t be afraid of embarrassing myself if I want to pursue Laurence? He’s already stomped my pride, my image, thoroughly into the ground by now. Now you’re calling me an embarrassment?”

Despite clearly knowing she could not win Laurence Young over, her father had still handed her this assignment.
