“Okay.”

Caroline felt safe with Darren by her side.

She fell asleep in no time.

When Darren noticed her asleep, he carefully parked the car by the roadside. Then, he took off his jacket and covered her with it.

Caroline was in a deep sleep due to exhaustion and was not aware that Darren had put his jacket over her.

It was already two in the morning when they arrived at Fisher Manor.

Darren stopped outside the entrance. Since he did not have the keys, he had to wake Caroline up.

Caroline was still in a daze when she woke up. When she saw Darren, she asked, “Why are you in a dream, Mr. Fletcher?”

Darren could not help but laugh. “I’m not in your dream, Ms. Caroline. You’re awake. I woke you up.”

However, it seems like Caroline was not fully awake yet.

Caroline blinked and sat straight. She instinctively grabbed the jacket on her that was slipping down.

“No wonder I felt hot during my sleep. You didn’t have to cover me with a jacket. The heater is turned on.”

Caroline was finally alert.

“Oh, we’ve arrived. Let’s not wake the employees. I have the keys.”

After speaking, she exited the car and opened the gates. She told Darren, “It’s late. You should stay the night. There are many guest rooms. Just choose one to sleep in tonight.”

Darren said hesitantly, “Madam Fisher won’t be happy if she finds out.”

It would count as him spending the night in Ms. Caroline’s house, even if it were a guest room.

Being under the same roof made it feel as if they were cohabitating.

Whenever Belinda was home, the manor’s security level would increase.

“Good night, Mr. Fletcher.”

“Good night, Ms. Caroline. Have a good dream, and don’t wake up too early tomorrow. You can sleep in,” said Darren.

Caroline laughed and waved goodbye before heading toward the main house.

Aside from the light shining at the entrance of the main house, which was turned on the entire night, the rest of the house was pitch black.

Everyone was asleep.

The security on night duty would be awake, but they usually stayed undetected and were not allowed to enter the house freely.

Caroline walked toward the main house and unlocked the door. After entering, she turned on the lights in the living area and messaged Darren: [I’m in the house, Mr. Fletcher. Please go back and get some rest.]

When Darren saw the lights turn on, he lingered a little longer before leaving.
