Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2901

The other party hung up on Carrie.

She was livid. She raised her hand, wanting to smash her phone on the ground before putting her hand back down. Carrie could not destroy her phone because of Camryn.

Fine! So what if they were not coming? They would regret it in the future.

Carrie ran up to the manor gates, planning to shout, but then she saw Camryn coming out, accompanied by Callum. He was the man Carrie had had her eye on from the beginning. Before her parents ended up in jail, her mother had planned to matchmake her and Callum somehow.

Yet Callum ended up becoming the man of that blind bitch!

Carrie was jealous and resentful. Her jealousy grew even more, especially at the thought of herself being mistreated by Mr. Longbottom and how she could only be his mistress.

“Camryn Newman! You’ve finally shown your face. I thought you wouldn’t dare to come out!”

Carrie shrieked. “Give me money! I don’t have any more money to buy food.”

“You took my family’s assets and even coerced Trenton into persuading our parents to transfer all their assets to his name. You’re most definitely trying to get all the Newman assets through Trenton. Do you think I don’t know what you’re planning? Trenton’s an idiot!”

Carrie badmouthed her brother.

Trenton had indeed considered giving all the family assets his parents had transferred to him to Camryn before, to let her manage them.

However, Camryn refused and only took back what belonged to her.

If it were not hers, she would not take it.

After Camryn took her share, there was not much left for Trenton and Carrie. As mentioned earlier, the key to Newman Enterprise’s operations was under Camryn’s control.

“No more money to buy food? Considering that we share the same mother, I can’t just let you starve to death. I’ve prepared a bit of money for you, but you’ll have to count it yourself. Sam, give her the money. Once she has it, make sure she leaves.”

Thinking she had won, Carrie smugly returned to her rented home and excitedly opened the bag once more. When she dumped all the money in the bag out onto the coffee table though, she was dumbfounded.

The big bag of money was filled with loose change. Most of it was as small as ten cents or fifty cents. The few hundred dollar bills she saw on top earlier were the largest denominations.

There had only been three one-hundred-dollar bills on top which had been used to cover the loose change below to deceive her.

At the time, she had only taken a peek and not a close look. She had left smugly after confirming that it was real money, thinking that Camryn was ultimately afraid of her.

Camryn had told Carrie to count the money herself, but there were so many ten-cent coins that even if she finished counting them all, they would not amount to much.

How could she summon the brazenness to dig out a huge pile of coins when she was to go out to spend money?

She would be a laughingstock.
