Alicia had just pulled into the driveway when Felix called.

"Ms. Shelton, you guessed right. Brandon's men made a move on Jade."

Alicia tapped her fingers against the steering wheel. "Did you save her?"

"Someone else beat us to it. Jade was taken away."

Alicia was genuinely surprised. "Someone other than us actually cares if Jade lives or dies?"

"It was Clayton."

At Felix's words, the shock in Alicia's eyes deepened.

Clayton?

Clayton didn't seem like the type to give a damn about Jade's fate.

"I understand."

Hanging up the phone, Alicia got out of the car and walked into the living room.

Tyrone had arrived early. The moment she stepped through the door, he pulled her into a tight embrace.

"Brandon's men tried to take Jade out. I wanted to intervene, but Clayton beat me to it," Alicia said with a soft smile, looking up at him.

As expected, anywhere Tyrone was felt like home.

"Clayton?" Tyrone paused in surprise.

He was clearly just as shocked that Clayton would wade into muddy waters to save Jade.

After finishing her sentence, Alicia glanced at him cautiously.

The implication was glaringly obvious. By calling it 'letting a wolf into the house,' it confirmed the man was a Quinn.

But the Quinn family now only consisted of Tyrone's grandfather and his uncle. "Tyrone, do you have any suspects in mind?"

"Sean Quinn... he married my aunt, and she trusts him completely. Based on his age, he couldn't possibly be The Gentleman who's been plotting against the Lynch family for years," Alicia murmured gently, trying to soothe him.

Sean Quinn should be trustworthy.

"Your grandfather has been in poor health for years. He rarely interacted with the Lynch family after your mother passed away, and he even had a huge falling out with Maddox over it. Besides... he's your biological grandfather, your mother's own father. He would never plot against his own daughter." Alicia didn't want Tyrone's imagination running wild. "Tyrone, is there anyone else in the Quinn family?"
