Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 551

Before the patriarch passed away, he had banished both Jade and Brandon from White Corporation. Later, Alicia strictly enforced that order, barring them from stepping foot inside any company building. Without Alicia's direct approval, Jade couldn't even get past the lobby.

"Send her up."

Felix looked uneasy. "Jade is backed into a corner right now. I'm worried... she might try something desperate."

He was genuinely concerned for Alicia's safety.

"She won't," Alicia shook her head.

Jade wasn't like Mina Holloway or the rest of them. She still had a microscopic sliver of a bottom line.

Especially now. With every last shred of her pride ripped away, she wouldn't be stupid enough to throw her life away just to do Brandon's dirty work.

She knew exactly what her father was—a man who only ever saw her as a disposable tool.

When Jade walked into the office, she looked visibly shocked. She truly hadn't expected Alicia to agree to see her.

After all, this was the heart of White Corporation's Seaview City branch.

"You needed to see me?" Alicia asked, slightly surprised by her appearance.

Jade looked absolutely wretched. Her face was ashen, like she hadn't slept in days, and her eyes were bloodshot.

"You want to find out the Gentleman's secrets from Natalia, don't you?" Jade cut straight to the chase.

"I don't know exactly how Brandon killed your parents... I wasn't even born yet. I only pieced things together later from his conversations with the Gentleman. The Gentleman was the one who gave him the idea. He told Brandon to orchestrate the murder, and in return, he'd help him worm his way back into the White family and manipulate the old man..."

"Brandon is nothing more than the Gentleman's weapon. He won't throw that weapon away easily. But me? I'm just a pawn. When Brandon started swapping out grandfather's medication, trying to kill him... I honestly didn't know at first. When I accidentally found out, I wrestled with myself. I wanted to tell him. But so many times... I'd see him holding a picture of your parents, whispering your name over and over... and the words would just die in my throat. I had this twisted thought—if he died, and you never came back, wouldn't I inherit everything? Would I finally become the undisputed heiress of the White family? Would people finally stop looking down on me?"

Jade's voice grew rougher. She had done a lot of unforgivable things, and she was laying them all bare.

She was probably destined for hell.

Alicia's fingers slowly curled into tight fists. She stared sharply at Jade. "Who is the Gentleman?"

All of Jade's petty, malicious schemes meant nothing to Alicia right now. Jade hadn't personally killed anyone, and she hadn't been involved in the murder of Alicia's parents. She was just a pathetic, manipulated pawn.
